Fanfest NOV 9TH - 11TH

I got too see i can scrap enough money to go.But i'd like to go this year as i missed quakecon and i've been wanting to goto gaming convention/fanfest.EVE fanfest is really expensive tho

I will be going.
But I am dispointed that coming from Sweden means either
(try) boarding the flight home severely drunk or not having
a party at all Saturday evening since the flight leaves at
0745 in the bloody morning!!! Include 1hr transport
and that you need to be there at least 1hr before boarding and
you are looking at getting out of the hotel about 0500. 
With that in mind I'm currently looking at spending another ú200
and stay Wednesday through Monday instead, we'll see.

i'll be there to dish out some ownage, on saturday night i'll probably just not go to sleep (redbulls'r'us... or just take it like a man) and sleep on the plane. Now i just need to choose manchester, glasgow, or london :S

Out of interest is anything happening Eve related on the saturday?
Coz the info at login says Friday/Saturday however one of the Eve packages with Icelandic air leaves 8:30 Saturday morning?
Anyone know?

Yeah am thinking about going but none of the packages go from Ireland so have to find another way there. Anybody want to give me a lift.
If i can afford it I will go.

If budget is a problem (for many will be) check Icelandexpress.com (cheap flight company), easyjet.com and ryanair.com. All three use London Stanted airport. There is probably a good combo to get you to Iceland from your country.
About accomodation, Nordica is the best option of course, but you are paying a 4 stars hotel. There are plenty of good hotels in Reykjavik, check that link for extensive info about the city.
I'd booked a 3 stars hotel right in the middle of town centre for 4 nights. I'm planning on doing some tourism.
And don't forget to buy the Fanfest Pass!!!

Here is the best prices I could find for Irish people going over to the fanfest from Dublin Airport.
Leaving on the 8th Nov to 13th on Nov.
IcelandAir is the website I used.
1,248 EUR - return flights for 2 people
So thats 624 EUR per person.
About 55 EUR for the FanFest entry from CCP.
Then of course Hotel costs , Food , drink and so on.

Try Iceland express. That's the cheaper of the two companies that fly and this for hotel rooms. Either that or try to mooch of corpmates living here
