Edited by: Vaughan on 14/08/2006 09:01:01 I have some questions regarding Titans. I refere them to the Tranquility server, NOT test server. Thanx in advance.
1. Is there any Titan pilots out there that I could contact? 2. Is it acctually possible to buy a Titan? if so how much? 3. Does anyone actually field these ships? 4. As they cannot dock what happens when the pilot wants to go to bed, do they simply log in a safe area? 4a. Is it actually possible to hide them safely?

The spooky thing about the Amarr Titan is that its icon looks exactly like an Omen cruiser. I was a bit miffed at that after spending so long building it.
Still, it is for sale if you want it, direct trade only.

1. No one is ever going to own up to being a titan pilot. They've ben marked forever as primary in a fleet fight, just in-case. 2. No-one will own up to that either. BoB decided that they don't want people building motherships and titans, so they attack anyone who owns up to having some capital ship assembly arries. 3. To my knowledge, no-one has yet fielded a titan, though several alliances are rumoured to have one or more 4. They warp to a random point 1 mil KM from where they were and vanish. Same as everything else. 4a. Deathstar POSs in core system where you get lots of the alliance members nearby would be a good bet. ---------- Please choose one signature image, as per the forum rules. - Teblin |

1. Not me.
2. Someone is selling titan BPC packs, but I cant remember who or where.
3. No confirmed sightings that I know of.
4. They can be stored in this structure in space where you own sov. Also if you dont have agression timer when you log the ship disappears from space after a short time(shorter than a scan probe sweep). 4a. Yes, but going into detail could mean I wouldnt get some normal kills

As far as I'm aware, there's no titan pilots. Which may just mean no one wants to admit to it.
It's not easy to directly purchase a mothership. A Titan is pretty unlikely. Not least because you can't just 'trade' it in a station, or escrow it to avoid fraud.
A titan costs: 150bn for the blueprint. 20 bn for the component blueprints. About 60 bn in materials. 4 bn or so on the POS to manufacture it, about 600 man-hours of hauling, and security for the 6 weeks it takes to build.
Oh, and a good long lot of skill training.
As far as I'm aware, no one has yet deployed a Titan. My money would be on BoB or ASCN being the first to do so.
They disappear when you log, same as normal ships. Or you could just pass 'em on to another Titan pilot within your alliance.
You can stash them at a Capital Maintenance array at a POS. Where of course, it suddenly becomes a static target, and a very juicy one to try and kill. In terms of hiding it, well, I believe you don't need sovereignty for capital maint arrays (just assembly arrays) so a tower somewhere out of the way might prove a good spot. (If you don't need sov, this can be in empire rather than in 0.0)
But of course, Cynosural fields do show up on the map, so people might start to wonder if they see one frequently.

Their is many skilled titan pilots in EVE, meaning they can fly one now. Who owns one... well a few do. Now who was that loosing some capital parts in the construction of a titan going thru syndicate?

what looks frikkin stupid is that you can pummel a ship, and it shows absolutely no sign of damage before it suddenly starts burning a little and blows up a second later... ---

That's funny cause I can name at least 1 alliance other then BoB that has one, and I think they're about to ally with bob.

knights of the southern cross (no doubt BOB would simply turn up and pawn em and betray em for 1 titan) or maybe not so whos our list of candidates
ASCN ? goonfleet (given the war with bob not likley) , Mercanery coalition (possibly given their vast ISK reserves), LV ? - ISS TBB or CVA , d2 perhaps control Delve fountain and outer ring and cloud ring and u have a quite large control
But afaik 3-5 titans on a rough guessitame ingame.

I think most would want one, but the issue is, is it even CLOSELY worth the investment? Is the modules for one even existing? Its of no use, if its not capable of being whats its meant to be. (btw: how much? ).

Most of the modules that make a titan worth using aren't seeded yet.
The blueprints alone cost 67.5bill. It seems there's been more sold recently, last time I checked the only one sold was an Erebus, now Avatars have been sold too...

Anyone correct me if im wrong, but, isnt it like this: CCP claim they is seeded. but, players claim they is not? Ive seen missing topend gear in other mmo's for 5-6 years after they is supposed to be put in game, so, i dont expect anything tho.
