Yes. The dock command now works for gates the same way it has done for stations for ages. GÇöGÇöGÇö GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥ GÇö Karath Piki-á |

I wish you could do this as a fleet command.
I'd imagine it would cut down on the people who try to get as many jump spams in before "Jumping" shows up on the UI.

I've gotten pretty pro at it and with low lag I can get almost 20.
One time I was just shy 300 clicks.

Presumably it won't stop you being pulled into bubbles/get tackled. So this won't affect gate camps at all. |

yeah Titania, you're totally off base here. Landing on zero just causes button mashing, this way will actually hurt you running camps, as you skip a chance for agression. I'm pretty sure this is going to make my life a little easier as I'll have to force people to jump by aggressing them at 0 on a gate less often as they will jump right into me.

In the real world (0.0) who doesn't warp to a perch first anyway..? I'm guessing this will effect Hiseccers and people who live in massive blue land. |

It will mostly be a benefit for freighter / orca pilots - who have issues with gate bouncing if they're not paying strict attention at the end of a 100 AU warp.
But in lo-sec / null-sec? Not as useful unless you already know that the gate is green. |

Somehow I felt it would help my stress levels. Then I realized I'm going to worry about it glitching so will probably still button mash. I feel pretty horrible now.

Hisec travel is basic gate to gate stuff, so this will halve the number of clicks required to get across empire space. And now that autopilot docks you in your destination station instead of just leaving you floating in the relevant system, it'll be a bit more tempting to use aswell. |

Last time I was on sisi I messed with it for a bit.
One thing I did notice is that its much faster. The jump executes pretty much the moment you leave warp without delay. Much faster than hammering the jump button and waiting. Also much faster than warp to and dock for stations as well. There is no delay whatsoever between leaving warp and jumping.
This is a double edged sword though. I made several attempts at trying to stop myself from jumping with no success. The only way I was able to interrupt it was by closing mid warp and then logging back in. At which point it warped me back to the gate but didn't jump.
Why is this a probem? Well... its not really that big of an issue as long as you are paying attention. But the button is right there next to warp. Your fc calls warp to gate and hold, and youlve hit warp to and jump by accident. You wouldn't even realize you hit the wrong button until you come out of warp and immediatelt notice that your ship is about to jump. And you won't be able to stop it either. The only option is to backtrack to the gate you came through once you've jumped. By then you may have already done a leroy. ;)
There is also situations where you notice a target come into the system through the gate you are landing on. Oh well, tough luck, your jumping and won't have a chance to try and engage because you hit warp to and jump instead of just warp to. |

Just press the 'stop ship' button during warp and you won't jump, it'll say 'you can't do that during warp' or whatever but it still works. |

You can already do this ingame to a limited extent. When you warp to 0, select 'add as first waypoint' on the gate you are warping to and hit 'autopilot'. When you land you will autojump to the next system and autopilot will cancel as it is a 'waypoint'. |

The way it is supposed to work is that if you click [ctrl-space] (or click on the "stop ship" button) mid-warp that it will not jump you through the destination gate.
Not sure whether it's working as intended. |

Since the warp to and jump buttons are right next to each other, the amount of accidental jumping through gates ahead of your fleet in Null is going to be epic... at least at first.
Any gate camp on the fringe of high sec should also experience an increase in the number of people appearing in system screaming "NONONONONONO". To kill the enemy and break their toys!
It's not so much a mission statement,-áit's more like a family motto. |
