Having experimented a lit with an (empty) Prowler flying through lowsec I noticed that the hardest part is getting away from a camped station. How do you best fit the ship to survive a station camp? |

You should make a bookmark which is aligned away from the undock a few 100-1000 km away. Undock, warp to BM, cloak midwarp. This way your ship needs to align only very little, making it difficult to lock you.
Also make a BM that is right next to the station which you should use for docking, by warping to it, selecting the station, and spamming dock button. Normal warp to station sometimes places you outside of docking range. |

Thanks for the reply!
I had a bookmark for instant warp, but I guess the problem now was that I got locked before I could even click the warp to bookmark. There seemed to be a bit of delay before I got the space view after undocking, so maybe it would be wiser to use a light scout ship first?
And how does the redock mechanics work? I was unable to redock. Most likely because I was too far away from the station, but is there a timer as well? I guess its inertia stabs all the way for lows from now on (I had one cargo expander), but what do you fit in the mids? And rigs? |

There is a timer....10-15 seconds i think? But this is also an 'invulnerability timer' if you haven't touched anything yet either...
However, it does seem buggy that before you saw that you were undocked that timer had expired and allowed someone to lock you. Unfortunately, you can't petition that b/c all 'the logs' will show that you undocked. Period. I've been podded before my space environment even showed up...CCP essentially said..."our logs show you undocked, sorry about your luck" |

I recall that there was an "invulnerability timer", as you say, but it can't be very long? I would guess that there were maybe 5-6 seconds from I got the space view until I clicked warp to waypoint. And usually my ship leaves for warp real fast to the instant undock bookmark. But too slow clicking, maybe? I am an old fart after all :) |

It sounds like you don't have an actual instant unlock. If he targeted you before you were able to click warp that means your invulnerable period came off or you activated a module which cancels your invulnerable period. |

I did activate my two Invulnerability Fields and I probably tried to activate my cloak. Would that, as you say, cancel the 'invulnerability period'? In that case, I guess activating any kind of module is a big 'no-no', when trying to warp away from a camped station?
And how long is this 'invulnerability period' if you don't activate any modules? |

And how long is this 'invulnerability period' if you don't activate any modules? Once you do anything other than issue a "stop ship" command, you become targetable. This includes attempting to cloak and failing because you're too close to the station. You also become targetable after your session timer expires: look in the upper right of your screen, by the current system name, when you undock and you'll see a little circular timer counting down. I believe it's 15 seconds for undocking, but I admit that I haven't checked in quite a while.
For an insta-warp undock to work, it has to be the very first command you issue. If it is properly placed you will enter warp almost as soon as you click "warp", and will likely not ever be targetable by people at the station. If your bookmark isn't positioned properly, you'll have to spend some time aligning and while you're aligning you are vulnerable.

Session timer is 10 seconds. Invulnerability is 30 seconds.

Thank you for your answer. It seems that I have been doing it wrong all the time, so I've been lucky that I haven't lost any more ships. I still can't seem to find that timer though. The only thing that I see is the 'session change' timer, which is 8 seconds. |

For most things EVE, when in doubt, check the Eve Uni site, they keep their info updated better than any others and it is very well organized and searchable.
