Ok, after making the required skills to fly a carrier, what are the recomended skills to have to out fit it properly (and why) to be more effective?

Edited by: Skva on 17/08/2006 19:19:42 You'll probably want to increase your jump drive skills to use less fuel, and to be able to jump longer distances.
Would be a good idea to increase your Fighters level to squeeze more damage from your fighters. You'll want advanced drone interfacing trained up to 3 or 4 aswell, to take advantage of drone control modules.
Depending on what you want to use it for, you may want to train for command modules. I don't know the specific skills for those, though...
Hmm... All I can think of off the top of my head.
edit:And, of course, the obvious skills like those required for capital armor reps, fighters, etc. Your signature is too large! Please resize it according to the forum guidelines. Jacques Archambault |

The leadership skills (Warfare Specialist Skills) are for the command modules.
For best results, you want to train xyz Warfare Specialist to level V, and cybernetics V, so you can plug in the xyz Warfare Mindlink slot 10 implants.
Eg. Bonus with Armored warfare mindlink + corresponding module is 22.5% armor resists/reduction in repair time/reduction in cap required.

You can take this much further..
Advanced drone interfacing 4 Combat drone operation 5 Drone Durability 5 Drone Sharpshooting 5 Fighters 4 Capital Armor repair 5 EM/Thermic/Kinetic/Explosive Armor compensation (If your sheild tanking get them skill) Jump Driver Calibration 4 Jump Fuel Conservation
Should have maxed out Cap skill in engineering if your flying this ship anyways.
Most people think the carrier is hard to kill but it has the same resistence as a battleship and the capital armor repairs take slow long to repair that you will be half armor before it fixes anything.. So maxed out tank skillz and cap skillz help a ton.. The longer you live the better chance you have of getting out... or getting enough killz to justify your lose.

Dont forget about training Capitol Repair and Shields. Advanced Drone Interfacing is also something you should raise. It will increase the number of Drone Control Links you can fit to your ship.
