When's the last time anyone other than you even saw that priceless unique ship? It may as well not exist.
Besides, it's not as if it has the same stats. Imitations won't hurt the value of your original.
Complain when they start adding more Tribal Tempests to the market, not when they start adding ship skins that look like it.
CCP, please don't forget the other three factions. There's still a President-edition Mega and Kronos, Emperor-edition Apocalypse and Paladin and a State Executor-edition Raven and Golem to be had. |

There's a difference between a Bugatti Veyron, which you might actually see if you're lucky, and one of your AT3 ships that nobody will ever see. What's the difference? You might actually see a Bugatti Veyron if you're lucky.
I'll say it again - your ships may as well not exist.
Besides, what are you going to do when CCP lets us have free rein over coloring our ships? I could make a flotilla of AT3-colored ships and just hand them out like candy on the Dodixie undock.
Get over it and let the rest of us have pretty ships too. It's not like they're devaluing your never-to-be-sold hangar queens. |

CCP never promised you any sort of exclusivity when you bought your ships and decided to lock them away forever.
However, your argument fails because just a few posts ago you were talking about seeing a Bugatti on the road. You can't argue "but nobody will be impressed when they see a Tribal Tempest" and then when the flaw that nobody will ever see one anyway is pointed out say "well, that argument is invalid because it's my decision how I use my ships".
Nobody's ever going to see a Tribal Tempest, Federate Megathron, State Raven or Imperial Apoc anyway, so who cares if the skins are re-used?
If you want to keep your ships unique (and your keep your special snowflake status intact) you should try going the route that CCP has demonstrated they will respect and Gold Magnate your ships. That is, get them blown to bits.
All that being said, however, it is ultimately CCP's game and they have every right to re-use ship skins if they want. If these ships do come into the game they'll more than likely be behind an Aurum wall and people paying money speaks volumes louder than a microscopic minority protesting.
Asking for special snowflake status doesn't work for anyone else and it shouldn't work for you either.
Oh and by the way: What about all those people with Guristas AT ships? What about the people who will have Victory-Edition Rattlesnakes that look basically like normal rattlesnakes except with a sticker on them? Why aren't you complaining about CCP re-using the Guristas skin for those AT ships instead of giving them a unique Guristas skin? Why are you only complaining about yourself? |

The simple fact is that you're upset because something that looks like a Tribal Tempest is being added, not because a Tribal Tempest is being added. You want to be a special snowflake in the most meaningless and petty way possible. Given how long ago AT3 was, most players these days don't even know there is such a thing as a Tribal Tempest.
By the way, how are you "affected", again?
If you want to secure a place in history that someone will care about, Gold Magnate your ships. CCP has proven they'll respect that.
Perhaps you should get the other three owners to post their objections in this thread as well. Maybe the four of you together will be loud enough. |

To be sure, I have nothing against Entity or his collection. I'm actually quite impressed by it. It represents a phenomenal amount of work tracking things down and a more phenomenal amount of work keeping track of everything.
The only thing I take issue with is "Nobody should have reproductions of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" because I have the original in my private gallery that only I can access." |
