I finally figured out how to sustain a dual LAR II tank on my domi forever AND also keep decent resists, allowing me to do any L4 mission in one. Here's the trick:
-Full rack of Cap Recharger IIs in mids -In lows, 2x LAR II, 2x EAN II w/all comp skills at IV, 1x internal force field array I with the rest of the lows as cap power relays
With this setup, Quickfit says I can run the two LAR IIs forever, with my cap stable at around 50%. As an added bonus, with the EAN II + DC setup, my resists should be high enough across the board so that I won't ever need to switch hardeners between missions.
And if I get nossed by blood raiders, I can still nos them back with the heavy nos in my highs to maintain my tank.
...now to train Hull Upgrades V and get together the money I need for the parts Sig removed, inappropriate content - Cortes |

So you've actually discovered a way to keep a sustainable armor tank? What's that you say? Full rack of Cap recharger II's in the mids, and large reppers with hardeners and a dc in the lows? And then TWO cpr?!! Wow, tanking is saved, a new way to tank has been discovered! Thank the Jovians!

tought there wasn't yet cap rechargers tech2... since the bpo wasnt seeded.
Not sure spent last year with nearly hundred eutectic for setups (kinky guristas ><)
FYi i think there is dual Large repper setups in domi for ages.... -------------------Sig----------------------- WE ARE MERCS, Contact QUADIX LEIME OR ALEXIE STUKOV for further info.

You sound a lot like me back in the day. You will find that there is more to tanking than running lots of repairers. For example, running one repairer is more than sufficient if you use the rest of your slots efficiently for resistance gear. Note that I said efficiently. Two EANMIIs and a damage control is efficient for PvP but not for level 4 missions. It's the lazy man's tank and might have trouble with angels. The trick is to know exactly what damage types you are coming up against and if possible the proportions you'll be facing them in.
BTW, capacitor recharge peaks at 33%. If your cap goes below 32%, consider the tank failed. But if it's stable and not going below 50%, you're recharging too much and possibly wasting slots on cap gear that could be used for added resistance gear.
Auctioning a rare item, the only remote HULL repairers in the game. Don't miss out, this chance won't come again. |

Afaik not true since modules like LAR II use cap in huge stacks rether than constant capacitor flow. If both reppers start sycle simultaneously the cap will drop about 15% of full cap (in dominix). If the recharge is fast enough the cap will reach high enough before next sycle begins and thus the tank is sustainable. I assume that at 31% recharge rate is higher than at 47% (even tho recharge rate drops faster <33% than >33%) and therefore capacitor recharge between 31-46% is higher than between 32-47%.
