About what should people rage? Except for frigs the changes are quite underwhelming and don't address the core problems.
Btw would be the first nerf hybrids thread I would read in 5 years, you didn't even had them during the hey days of blaster pvp. Only exception was the Eos and Myrmidon(guess what because of drones, not hybrids), what was mostly a utility med + nos thing to feed and field very good tanks for solo/small gang pvp on top of the good DPS. |

I say sir! This "nerf hybrid" issue shall become moot as soon as the new is expansion is launched! The common populace shall not be swayed by their newfangled "hybrid turret boost"! To say such a thing is lunacy!

They are really buffing projectiles by reducing the falloff penalty of hail, and getting rid of the tracking penalty on quake.

Most people who fly minmatar still won't use Hail. Unlike others, we have no significant optimal to offset that falloff loss. Hail is still fail. |

Nerf what? -they're already burned to the ground since 3 years do you really think it's some crap +10% and 5% speed, some tracking and crap dmg increase it's going to make them fotom??
If you really think so you've never tested those on SISI and you're speculating on peanuts arguments...really dumb. Ho wait, talos will put 1400dps on your face at the undock at gates and on miners...of course gallente navy only won their frontiers on kicking scrub's asses at the undocks....

Winmatar will still Win Eve Most people who fly minmatar still won't use Hail. Unlike others, we have no significant optimal to offset that falloff loss. Hail is still fail.
Blasters have no significant optimal either (consider the light electron vs 125 auto guns , 1000m vs 800m, not a huge difference), they take the same falloff penalty, and they have an additional 25% cap use penalty.
Auto's range determinant is falloff, hail reduces it 50% Blasters range determinant is falloff, void reduces it 50% and adds +25% cap usage Pulse's range determinant is Optimal, conflag reduces it 50% and adds a +25% cap usage penalty
All 3 basically reduce the weapons range by 50%, hail is the one without an additional penalty, while the other two use a lot more cap.
If anything, the cap penalties of the otthers should be removed, instead of the range penalty of hail.
Hail is useless? so is void and conflag People basically use two ammo types, the short range faction ammo (multi/antimatter/ EMP/Phased/Fusion), or the long range T2 ammo (scorch, null, barrage).
So I do see a need to buff hail, and null, and conflag.... But they only buff hail

I can actually see hybrid power rising now.
I can see 2 scimitars and a bunch of the new hybrid BC's roaming around - have you guys seen the speed of the talos overheated shield fit? 1000 base dps should not be able to fly around with more than 2200 m/s . Add to the heavy punchers nagas as webbing/scramming and even ( although it would sound weird for caldari hybrid boat) DPS in their own right.
P.S.
I know shield talos sounds like a bad idea but shield has no speed penalties and repair cycle of the logistic starts in the beginning + 1 invuln + 1 EM rig and you have decent resists across. And besides, scimitars, it's what gangs use.
Not sure how correct my EFT is - it doesn't show any space for drones, plus I'm sure it's a subject to change |

What are u talking about hail has no falloff penalty , so it has the same range as emp-> -30% tracking for +10% or more dmg over repulic emp, and cheaper. It is a matar buff after all. |
