Lady Spank nasty face has good point. But what I personally believe that highsecs are unable to do good pvp content so because some people out there in our Jita and Amaar don't even have maps and just the F10. I believe that pvp video by nightmarex and his education like such as in the marmite and especially trading hub everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should continue to make video for own audience, but our education over here in the nullsec and low and wormsec and on forums for main viewer should help the rest of us understand their highsec but does it? I dunno, and it should help marmites and should help the Jita and the Amaar comparations, so we will be able to build up our future pvp videos for future subscribers to make a choice for them. |

It seems this just doesn't translate well to the type of video's you traditionally make.
I'd seriously consider Suitonia's suggestion to focus on storytelling with slick editing. It gives you room to be more creative and cinematic in scope. I'd be very interested in seeing what you could produce in that style.
Work to your strengths! Constructive posts like this deserves to get a 'Like' , so yeah, thanks for that post.
Seems like i have to change on the way i make the videos to make the empire PVP videos more intresting. So i will keep that in mind to next time.

It is the way you present it. As I mentioned in my earlier reply it is important to make the viewer understand what is going on. Drag them into the fight so they understand what is going on and why it is important. This takes a shitload of time but will make a great video. The RnK videos are a good example. Lord Maldorer (spelling?) spends a lot of time explain what kind of engagement they are in and how their tactics works. If he had sped the videos up and added some music (even well matched music) the videos would be something completely different.
The larger the engagement is the more important this gets. In solo and really small gangs it is easier to see what is going on. But once you start approaching 10 ships in your fleet it gets hard to capture the fight from footage from a single point of view. Having multiple points of views and knowing how to edit it together would be awesome. But putting effort into the storytelling can do a huge difference even if you only got your own fraps footage.
Now it is easier to see things in retrospective but if you had focused on the RvB war (thus excluding the first fight) you could have made a great video about that conflict. Make a short introductions about the Pocos and how RvB got the area around Jita. Then tell the story about how the large highsec merc coalition was tasked to destroy these Pocos. Explain the tactics and choices your leaders made and how they reacted to RvB's tactics.

Serious question, I'm not here to hate on your video or anything.
What does it actually take to be able to have success in this kind of environment?
Do I just need to be able to fly a serious battleship with good skill?
I assume it must greatly depend who you are flying with and taking orders from.
I've never been good in fleet situations, every time I've been in a corporation and in a fleet, I've found that the people leading the fleet were idiots (IMO) and I just felt like I would have a much better success ratio all by my self.
I've always wanted to be part of an elite group, but as it is, I just think that actual elite groups didn't want me in their group because I myself was not elite. So that is why I decided to play by myself, and with a few select players who I have become friends with over the years. So that I could become elite by my self.
I just wish I could be in a huge group like you and dominate the field.
Is there any way to unswallow my pride? Can I fuck myself down?

It's simple. All you need is isk, good skills to be able to use t2 mods, knows how to fly your desire ships and ofc know how to follow the fleet commanders in fleet and so on.
What you see in my video, specially the fights against RvB is something you are not going to see very soon again. That kind of events are extremely rare. So what you have to concentrate on is the more smaller fights like we had in Amarr, or like the one in the first fight in my video. By that, you only have to focus on the 4 things i mentioned over.
