Anyone else noticed other than me that these are now needed to produce T2 drones and that they are is short supply. I would imagine T2 drones will become a lot more expensive very soon. |

I wouldn't expect them to stay that way.
They come from FW, after all.

yeah, they are available from research agents, but only caldari ones so Gallente now have BOTH of their T2 weapon systems invention datacores controlled by Caldari R&D agents.
Well thought out |

If you think R&D agents are controlling the market on data cores, there's a bridge I have to sell you... |

The point Spiezor made is a valid one. Not everyone in eve is a large scale producer or member of a corp/alliance with access to resources. I agree with him it doesnt seem particularly well thought out. |

His point is stupid and wrong. FW can and will flood the market as soon as a data core price is getting out of line. The flow from your personal R&D agents is practically non-existent compared to that. Then there is the secondary flow from exploration, which is also declassing the few data cores from agents by an order of magnitude.
Hell, next thing you're telling me there're people who sell the meager little number of cores they get from their agents on the market, instead of using them up themselves. |

The vast majority of data cores do NOT come from research agents.

In the nicest possible way you are both missing the point. Us small time producers have just had an avenue of datacores completely closed to us. The vast majority of DC's may well come from FW but me and many others like me do not do FW for datacores, we do industry and have worked up our Gal standings so we can buy from Gal R&D agents.
Now we cant we have to rely solely on the market and as I pointed out in my original price the market has not adjusted.
I stand by my statement, the change doesn't seem to be well thought out. |

I do industry (not FW), I have high standings with Gallente and buy cores from Gallente R&D agents. The amount of data cores I can get from the agents is way, way lower than the amount I use in casual invention. Even with getting data cores from agents, the vast majority I need I have to buy on the market.
The market will adjust. Probably over-adjust. Give it a week. |

anyone smart stocked up before the change went live...
also, why the f.. does it matter if you do not do FW for datacores, theres a market for a reason, to buy what you dont have. How on earth do you think I get tens of thousands of datacores a week? doesn't matter what volume you do it in, smaller volumes are actually even easier to procure on the market.
