Would corporations recruit a covert ops scout / Cyno pilot?Or grab a character from the bazaar as an alt?
The pilot may be spying.though the tons of training for a pilot would be factored in too.

Yes, or maybe no.
Whenever I shake this thing the answers change.
Given the short train time, I'm inclined to think I'd just train an alt.

As a CEO, I recruit people based on how well they get along with and fit into our corp culture.
As an FC, I'll purple up with anyone that has the skills I need to destroy my target.

There are two sets of skills necessary to be a good CovOps scout: the skillpoints invested in the character, and the experience of the player controlling them. You can only buy the former on the character bazaar and without the latter the former is not of much use.

Our corporation sort of expects everybody to be able to at least throw a cyno from a noobship, and train into Covops for various reasons. For lowsec people, throwing cynos and warping while cloaked are pretty much the standard fair. |

No no... Bacon is always the answer, not the question... unless you are playing Jeopardy, in which case the question is the answer in which case Bacon would still be the question. I hope that questions your answer.

Depends completely on the corp and/or recruiters.
Personally i have recruited people who have bought characters, but only if they are upfront about it and tell me that its a bought character instead of trying to "hide" it by not mentioning it, potentially hoping that we dont do background checks.
And of course i want to know who their other characters are, if they are planning to join with all off them or if they are simply just looking for a place to hide an alt when they need to make ISK or similar pretending to be AFK doing stuff in high sec or similar.
But with so many new players being told that they should just buy a character (not that i agree with that but thats a different discussion all together) i think a lot of corporations have started to look more.. kindly on bought characters and dont instantly scream "SPY!!!!" just because it comes from the character bazaar.

As CEO of a highly "successful" corporate enterprise, I could share a few good tips.
First off, its all about the interview. I like my henchmen to be obedient, yet at the same time be able to think on their feet. So I look for a good mix of those qualities. Look, if I tell you to stand guard and not let anyone pass, I don't mean me. I can come and go as I please.. ok? Its my place, I sign your paychecks.. just let me do what im going to do. Take Danny for instance. I really liked Danny. Good henchmen. But the guy just took things way to ******* literally. He just stood there. He didn't let anyone pass.. which was good.. but the guy didn't smile, and when Cmdr Happytime broke in, poor Danny stood at his post, guarding the door. Happytime killed Danny with his Friendship Beam Cannon. Poor guy didn't even see it coming. Sad, so sad. I had to tell his wife Denise about how it happened. Broke my heart man.. broke my ******* heart. She was pregnant! Dafuq Cmdr Happytime? What did Danny do to you??!?! He wasn't even in you way man! Seriously.. *pounds desk* Danny.. I miss you man...
Gimme a minute here.. *cough*..
Ok.. anyways.. second, Uniforms. A good henchman uniform is key to brand recognition. All black and spikey looks evil.. but you tend to blend in at henchman meetups. I want my guys to stand out! Plus, the "over the top" uniforms are horrible too. And NO ******* HELMETS. Do you even realize that most helmets block the peripheral vision of your henchmen? No wonder henchmen can be wiped out my the dozen! So I tend to eschew helmets for traditional ballcaps. Their practical, and you can make them out of some pretty durable materials.. and they keep the sun out of your eyes and the rain off your face. Also, you can put your logo on them.. free advertisement! Win-wins all around! Now I will point out a small flaw with the ballcaps.. when worn facing forwards, they do tend to block vision from above. We lost 2 henchmen when GeckoGuy dropped them from above. So, we now wear them backwards. It looks pretty badass that way. Put some sunglasses on them guys.. and you have some stylin minions man!
And third. Expect spies. Look, theyre everywhere. Its just a fact. Learn to live with it. Compartmentalize your plans. and for **** sake, don't tell anyone the whole damn plan, or the location of the self destruct button, or any fatal flaw in a reactor design. Keep that **** to yourself. Oh.. add secondary or even tertiary authentication to any self destruct program. Do you know how easy it is to accidentally hit a big *** red button? You know what.. don't make the button big and red. Small and black is the key to buttons. The good guy is going to look for the big red button.. but everyone ignores the small black ones that aren't labeled. If you do feel the need to have a big red button.. label the thing 'self destruct' but just make it kill whoever pushes it. it will solve ALOT of problems. Trust me on that.
Escape pods. If you notice that your employment roster exceeds your current escape pod capacity.. ******* ORDER MORE. They are cheap as hell man! Buy in bulk! You can never have too many escape pods. Figure a good 20% overage in escape pods to ensure that everyone gets out. Plus, you don't have overcrowded pods, which can lead to some pretty nasty HR complaints when someone's elbow accidentally nudges someones.. well you get the point. Clearly label all escape pod routes.. and make sure theyre not all in the same place. Nothing is worse during an evac that a traffic jam because some stupid architect put ALL the escape pods at the far end of the station. I fired that guy after that fiasco. Right out of a Festival Launcher. He should be passing Perimeter gate sometime in the next 3 years. If anyone sees him, just let him be.. hes on time out.
Perks. You need to have perks. I give my guys at least a 3 week vacation a year, retirement benefits, Health and life insurance with vision and dental covered at 100%, free daycare and schooling for the kids. We also give out yearly full ride scholarships to Henchman Academy, where they can choose from any degree they wish. End of the year bonuses and giftcards for birthdays are a must. its good practice to talk with your henchmen so you can tailor the giftcards to each one. Terrence likes coffee, but hates steak.. so he gets the giftcard to Jita Coffee. Who hates steak? Seriously Terrence.. its Beef.. grilled. Its delicious.
Lastly, hire good Human Resources employees. HR is the lifeblood of any good organization. Just make sure they keep up on background checks, and squash any small complaints before they get out of hand. A couple of guys got into it in the hallway the other day, and it got taken care of pretty quickly. Good thing. I hate having to get involved with drama like that. Well. I mean.. I DO like to get into drama like that.. but not as a mediator.. more as an instigator.
Anyways, I hope these words of wisdom can help some aspiring CEO.
Ok.. so go ahead and go over that, make any changes.. and send it off.
Yes on the normal channels.
Yes that means General Discussion.
Why am I having this.. wait.. why is that thing typing what im saying?
That.. right there.. and there! And there! look its doing it right now. See? it just typed what I just said.
Yes im sure that it is doing it right now and not what I said earlier. Look.. come here and look. Ok ready?
Purple baloney rides the whale for reasons unknown to the orangutans.
See? it did it. Don't tell me it didn't. That whole thing wasn't in anything I said!
I don't care.. I hired you to do dictation.. not use dictation software instead.. wait.. is that facebook? ARE YOU FACEBOOKING WHILE YOU SHOULD BE TYPING THIS OUT??!?!?! For **** sake.. how old are you?
16? 16!?!?!?!? You are telling me that HR hired a 16 ye....
No no.. that's not what..
Ok ok.. calm down. Look.. ill give you another chance ok? Just turn that **** off, and send i

This sort of OP makes me squint. Jumping through a gate to scout a route? Operate a debuff function in a fight? Does one really run to the bazaar to fill this rather limited need? Throwing the word "spy" into the mix...when those two functions can't really be called spying or espionage?
As a CEO I'd suggest other CEOs have a clear idea of what they're doing. Clarity, when it exists, makes itself readily apparent in communication. (hint hint) This increases the likelihood the CEO in question will have no trouble expressing with regard to an issue. Any CEO attempting to become involved in black ops, if wishing to succeed, really needs to have this "clarity" thing down.
Then, hey. It's your corp. Do what you like.
I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility toward every form of tyranny over the mind of man.-á

Not really, but it seems that finding a competent dictation typist in New Eden is exceedingly difficult.
Also, I guess to a lesser extent finding a good maintainence technician to service the broadcasting equipment is rough too. The button on this thing tends to get stuck down, and I have to pry it back up with a paperclip. I know that its really not much work, but I mean.. I do pay a guy to do that.. and if he wont or cant.. and I have to do it myself.. do I really need the guy? I guess I could roll his job into the IT dept.. but frankly im about to re-organize that group. You should see the wiring situation under the desk here.. its atrocious. I really though they had more organization that this when they were installing the equipment.
Sigh. Evil Empire control problems.
