Hi guys, just asking for possibility to get caps like Thanatos carrier to Highsec through random open wormholes? If this works from game mechanics, what price add would such sell service in highsec have to the customer?
I know it is not possible to build them in highsec anymore at POS' as it was back years ago. Will caps be shifted back by CCP staff manually, if above game mechanic works?
Thanks for kind advise, don't know if this forums part is the right one, but looked fine for me. |

Wormholes to Highsec are limited in mass per jump, you won't get a capital through. Even if - as soon as you fit offensive modules and undock your capital is removed to lowsec. Existing capitals in highsec (from back when you could build one in highsec) can not be traded (or will be removed to lowsec).

Thanks Samsara, that's what I was looking for. So no chance to use a carrier for anything in PVE in highsec and also not to buy it from someone from contract.
Sad, could have been a good business opportunit for some WH guys to bring carriers for sales issues to Highsec with a premium on it |

CCP has stated that they are looking to move more capitals into high-sec, but it's going to be a slow process as there are many mechanics that need to change before that happens. |

Do you happen to have a quote handy? I'm not sure that's what they said.

I'm somewhat concerned that the word "we" cropped up in that quote, because it suggests that at least two CCP employees have totally lost their minds. |

Wow I'm not a fan of that idea, although I imagine lighting cynos would still be banned in high sec.

Just because they are allowed in high-sec does not mean they can actually do anything. I guess they would always be allowed to belt rat frigates? And who knows, it might be much more interesting to see the mermaids camping niarja in carriers.

EVE players have varied tastes and playstyles, we do not all like the same parts of EVE. Part of what makes EVE work, dispite it's many flaws, is that you can often find an area of space that works for you. You can find an environment that suits your playstyle and avoid the environments that do not.
A simple example being that anyone that feels that Supercapitals are bad and ruin the game have the option of living in Hi-Sec or WH space and rendering them an irrelevance. This has been particularly important given that Supercapitals have been pretty messed up during their entire history. This allows players to continue playing and enjoying the game the way they wish, without depending on CCP fixing Supercapitals. It's certainly not a perfect solution and not one without compromise, but it means that fewer of us ragequit and more of us can get along together playing EVE on the same server.
Bringing different types of space closer together harms something that helps EVE survive and also makes the game more bland and uninteresting in to the bargain. We need more different types of space, not less.

I think it makes sense to allow the "smaller" caps, as dreads and tier1 carriers to move through highsec, using gates. If cynos stay forbidden in highsec, there should be possibility to keep the bigger ones out of it. Just make supercaps not being able to access gates to highsec.
I think for the whole discussion with jump fatigue etc and forcing caps to use gates more often, it makes sense to allow the smaller ones using the highsec routes as well.
On the other side CCP needs to think how to punish people using their dreads to easily kill highsec POS', as shifting them to lowsec would be no punishment anymore, they just take the gate back to Hisec.
