I take it the Eve sounds are stored in .stuff files. I know itĘs against the rules to modify files but are we permitted to just pull out the sounds then use the sounds in Eve desktop themes?
Is there a way to just view and pull out the sounds without being able to edit the game files? Alternatively has anyone got a link to a sound pack with all the warp, targeting e.c.t sounds as wav files?

no it's illegal to even pull the sound files out...
but yes, someone once made a tool to extract those files... but it's banned to use... EvE-CCG Spoiler Database |

You could ask very nicely for some pretty, smart, lovely designer down at CCP HQ to make you a theme pack in their spare time. I sure they'll do it, they are wonderful, lovely and intlligent people who we all love very much. For ever and ever. Amen.

There are legal issues involved, copyright and such. (There are provisions for reverse engineering and others in the law though).
But if you choose to ignore those....
You can use the stuffextractor program if you can find it on the net.
If you can not find it you can simply start up a recording program (check the software that came with your soundcard) and tell it to start recording (check the mixer settings first), then start up eve and initiate activities that result in the sound effects you want played. Then close eve, stop the recording and start picking apart the recorded sound file.
Now I haven't tried that myself on any game software yet but judging how it works on other software you shouldn't have problems, after all the sound effects of eve do go through windows audio system so if you just have your mixer settings right you're good to go.
