I want to try things in eve but I'm a bit scared to. Incursion people are too... how shall I say critical and particular in what you fly apparently. I don't have any ships that can fly them at th emoment but I think I can afford one. I'm terrified of making mistakes becuase ppl tend to jump on you. I already got into an acquire conversation about my personal legion fit which, I admit isn't fancy or probably practical for most purposes but I use it for my own personal situations. Needless to say I want to enjoy and have fun but I'm at the moment limited in what I can do.
On top of that I want to find a corp, The corp I have now is my own personal corp more like a placeholder to avoid being in NPC corps so I don't get ppl attacking me within the npc corp as I can'ta fford to lose my ships right now. I can't seem to find a corp that I feel would fit me. There are a few that apparently really badly want me but I'm just a bit scared to go ahead and join one. I've already had a bit of a bad experience with a null sov corp and I dont want to put myself into that situation again. And as it stands I'm not really able to do much on my own obvoiusly. I really wish I knew what to do. I was told to look into e-uni corp but I don't meet their standing requirements. I'm at a loss as to what to do right. I dont think I could just join a corp, being that eve is so ruthless unlike all other MMO's. I keep having to play it safe absolutely dreading making a critical mistake. I've made a few of those and lost ships I shouldn't have lost. People tried scamming stuff off me, obviously I know better but You get what I mean. I'm not sure what to do at this point.
About incursion runners, there is a reason fits are recommended and strictly enforced. It's for your protection. People who are poorly fit and poorly skilled die, even people with good skills and the right fits die. Incursions are hard, they are not for casual gamers. You might try to run lower sites like Vanguards or lower, the payout is still decent.
Best bet if you are starting incursions is train for logistics and fly vanguards, get good with that first. Then train up for more expensive fits. |

You'll have to learn what you like to or want to do before you'll be able to choose a corp to fit into. As for incursion fleets .. the incursion missions can be unforgiving hence the anality of fit checking. But if you want to learn the ins and outs of fleet life, incursions are a good start. You have to work to meet the right fleet doctrines to join a fleet whether you fly incursions or not.
