I was wondering. I know in Low Sec that if you jump to a complex that was unopened, it now shows up on everyone's UI. They can then jump behind you knowing someone just opened it. When I scan down exploration sites, like archaeology sites, do they also become readily view-able on the UI or would someone HAVE to use probes to find me there. |

err, if you had to scan it down , so will they. your scan results are your own, and you do not "open" sites for anyone (though you can close some of them...sort of)
if they live there they might already have it scanned down, wait till they see you scanning it then warp in behind you.

I see, I was just curious, had a Slicer jump me in a site the other day. Must have used a scanning alt or something. Thanks for your time :) |

Faction warfare sites do this. However Data, Gas, Relic, Wormholes, and Combat sites that you are forced into probing do not show up on the overview. The pilot must probe you to find you. |

Or had probed it down earlier, bookmarked it and was waiting for someone to run it. |
