I think we killed a couple of them once, but could never find them again to fight again. Apparently they were notable. I read it on the forums, it must be true.

Cheap shot, I'm not going to smack talk you here as I'm no longer part of Brawls Deep but we both know why you left.
To the original question, as a former director of Brawls I can answer this and its pretty simple.
The main content creators struggled to find fights in C5 space and people started going inactive including leadership from the 2 main corporations and it snowballed from there. We went from a "strong" entity able to field very good numbers at a moments notice to struggling to raise enough people to do an escalation in a matter of 3 weeks. It was amazing to see just how fragile the whole thing actually was and how much it depended on a few key people.
Personally, I don't have the energy to rebuild having taken a corp from 3 people to a 200 man alliance, the thought of doing it again made me not want to log into Eve so I said my good byes to some awesome people in SV and am currently looking for another w-space corp to take me under their wing as a grunt.
SV still lives in the C5 and will rebuild over time I'm sure, but for now they are looking to do so as a corp.

Not true at all. We were in same situation a few months back. Several active people got completely burnt out by scanning huge chains with just noone in them. Fact is that groups in c5 space find most pvp in nullsec. Just scroll some killboards and you get a picture of where most go to fight. My own alliance is far from the best at anything really but we have had more fun after moving to a system with better chains than we had in our old c5-c5.

C2 static best static. Plenty of pew to be found, good income in C2 space now so lots of people soloing, lots of people willing to form up in cheap fleets and whelp them into us (or whelp us into them, whatever).
One of these days I want to do an analysis of kills by wormhole class to confirm my suspicion that more ships are sacrificed to Bob in C2 space than in any other class of system. Not the most valuable of ships, but simply "more". |

I'm not kidding though. More people should move to C6 space, it's just 113 of them. If you don't find another PVP entity, you're siteganking W-space citizens. Or you just 2-3 holes to a C6-C5 and find a wasteland with a lot of null secs to roam in.

AHARM moved 3,000 Iteron Mark V (about 100 million m3) of things out of Nova in a little under 3 weeks.
Desperate times called for desperate measures. However much it hurt for us to uproot everything and try to move on, it arguably saved AHARM from completely falling apart.
I don't know if things have gotten to that point in SSC, but practicality should not be a consideration if you think you're headed down the path of stagnation and boredom. Once you begin to lose your core membership, it will already be too late.
Please consider it. |

Last week our helicopter dong C4 site fleet got facerolled by EXIT. Since those fatties were one of the things holding SWIFT Prolapse. into the C4, we had a debate amongst the membership centred around "was the C4 the place we wanted to be?"
We analysed the options, and realised we were more or less in the right place and the right hole for us, right now. Sure, we aren't getting huge fights weekly, but most of our problems centre around exploiting our content properly, not the lack of content on offer.
This is as much a problem with activity levels, content creators, and the content as it is with the wormhole and statics (C2 + C4). Our C4 chains don't often bring us huge amounts of PVP like we hoped when we moved in, but that's fine. We just need to get an efficient site running doctrine for the newbros to attend which requires <6 members, so we're working on that.
As for the C2 side, we need to get more efficient at ragerolling, and more efficient at sperging through the local low or highsec connections available to us, for content.
So, relevance? I think if your corp is suffering activity, content and direction, you should have a mature discussion about it. Making a move, like AHARM did, should only come about because you want to change the content to suit your members wishes, which is easier than changing the members to suit the content.

Good bunch of fellas. They create good content and whelp Nestors horribly to NPCs. Wish our time zones overlapped more so we'd bump into each other at times other than mutual bedtimes or work times, to fleet up or blow up... |

Content is a 8itch, and one of the things I have observed over the years is several FC burning out because they adopt the content generator role, and if not managed this can lead to others expecting the PVP to be dished up.
Remember that all cogs in the wheel can make content. Go out there scan / scout / bait... Whatever it is don't pos spin and complain about lack of content. That makes me mad, and would legit make me want to awox back to hisec - and yes it has come close a couple of times :3 |

This, so much this. Scanning out a chain is one thing, but having actual people in the chain is another. Just because you have one "Ultra Scanner" who scans out a huge chain does not mean you will find content. What you need is people roaming the chain, looking for activations, looking for Dscan changes, hopping into nulls to see what the locals are doing, baiting on that hisec entrance, etc.
