What the heck is the problem with these forums?
I open the forums and hit reply to a thread - and instead of going to the reply window, I go back to the exact same screen. Only after hitting Reply again do I get the post drafting screen.
Then I type a reply and hit submit and instead of posting my reply I go back to the exact same post drafting screen with my reply wiped out and not made!!! Sometimes after going through it once it works better for later posts I think - havent fully tried to figure it out yet.
I am getting it on two different PCs with two different ISPs, so it aint on my end.
What button or setting do I have to change to not require a double take every time I want to post? Anyone else getting this problem? Is CCP fixing it any time soon? VERY frustrating.
*copies post so I dont have to type it all again*

This happens to me often enough for it to be really irritating. Sometimes, I decide to not bother with posting because I don't want to retype it.

I get the same problem, so before I hit the 'Post Reply' button, I always copy my answer to the clipboard first.

Happens to me all the time. So I always copy a post before hitting 'Post Reply' -----

When you get the sign-in window (when you're already logged in), back up to the text window and try to post again. If you do this twice, it'll usually let you post.

You don't have to copy your posts unless the forums are completely borked. Just hit "back" on your browser and try again.
But sometimes nothing works.

Too many rude and/or stupid posts, mostly. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

WWIIOL forums used to do something like this back in the day, not all the time but often it would burp and lose your post, often enough I always copied before sending. Guess I have to get back into that habit.
I mention this though because at some point they changed something in their forums and one of the results was that aggravating PITA bug was destroyed.
CCP has more players than WWIIOL, you would think they could get their forums working right just as easily as CRS did.
Maybe we need to keep this bumped so they can feel the playerbase's rage?

(Just happened again.) Like I said, forum technology is old stuff. All they have to do is spring a few bucks for decent software.

CCP is aware of the problems that the forums are experiencing (having to relog numerous times to post something amongst other things). Believe me when I say that this problem also makes our work as moderators of the forums increasingly difficult. Unfortunately, changing web browsers, or rebooting your machine don't help currently.
We've received word that the problems are being looked at, and hopefully we will be able to have a solution soon.
