This is the seventh BMBE shareholder report.
- August dividend
- August BMBE re-investment
- September forecast
- New interest rate plan (variable interest)
August dividend
August sees the second month of the 40/40/20 distrubution of BMBE profits.
August dividend : 1.302B ISK This equals to 651M ISK per share
In the BMBE Shareholder report #6, the August dividend was forecasted to : 1.134B ISK. So 420M ISK extra profit for the month of August (solely due to a loan running one week longer than anticipated)
Dividend has been paid out
August BMBE re-investment August is the second month where part of the BMBE profit is put back into the BMBE, to, over time, increase the amount of ISK available for loantakers - And thus is a potential profit increaser, and also (at least on paper) a share value increaser.
August BMBE re-investment : 651M ISK Total BMBE capital now : 103.439B ISK This equals a "value" of 51.7195M ISK per share
This value is very close to the "listing price" of 52M ISK of the last IPO.
September forecast The forecast is based solely on the profit of existing loans and thus doesnt take into consideration if new loans will be made during the month.
September dividend forecast : 0 ISK Which equals 0 ISK per share
September BMBE re-investment : 0 ISK
Plain to see - All existing loans have been paid of...
During the month of August there was a handfull of requests for loans - Most concerning a Cerberus Auction. Unfortunatly those parties interested in funding the buying of the Cerberus BPO with help from the BMBE, had some rather unrealistic ideas about the payback length on the loan. The most 'outrageous' beeing a plan for paying back in 412 days...
So needless to say, nothing came of any of it...
So currently the BMBE has a full purse of ISK not making the shareholders any ISK.....
Which is why I'm putting into effect a new interest plan (see below), to try and at least get *some* profit. A little is better than nothing - Right?
New interest rate plan (variable interest)
Effectivly immidiatly a new interest scheme is put into action.
The basis of this is that the more ISK the BMBE has sitting idle, the lower the interest rate, and conversly, if the BMBE is almost out of ISK, it's going to be more expensive taking out a loan.
This will hopefully balance things out a bit. But will undoubtly need a bit of tweaking as we go along.
With all ISK sitting in the BMBE wallet (as is currently the situation) the lowest possible rates will be : 1.5% for a RIFL loan (currently 2.5%) 2.5% for a RISP loan (currently 3.5%)
This rate stays fixed until 1/3rd of the BMBE ISK is on client hands, and will then ramp up to 3.5% for RIFL and 4.5% for RISP when (near) all ISK is on client hands.
The immidiate effect of this is that currently (due to the BMBE having no active loans) you can get some extremly cheap loans (compared to earlier rates)
With this initiative, it's my hope that the BMBE will attrack some loantakers, especially while the interest rate is this low, and thus generate at least a bit of dividend for the shareholders.
Thats all for this time. BIG Lottery

The new interest plan is a very good idea, but I would like to see figures on the overall profits if all isk is loaned.
In any case, you need to continue to think of new promotional ideas and, in the meantime, to continue to bump the [WTS]- BMBE Is Selling Isk post. Do this actively, daily, instead of letting it sit :P. If others keep bumping it it will get locked.

Sounds like a bit of unwanted spam. Perhaps bump when there is some high profile auction running.
Also shareholders ought to advertise in their own bio..

Lets get TS to actually check it more than once a week before we start worrying about spam.

Can I borrow 1 ISK?
Now that the Hulk loan is fully paid back, good luck on getting another profitable one.

What a helpful comment.
The service is not all that expensive, and allows people to purchase things they could never otherwise have a chance at.

Hi, Im interested in getting a loan to pay for a hulk. At the moment I am unable to raise the funds for this on my own in what I would consider a reasonable amount of time. I currently have 35 days till i can use said hulk but as I also mission run everyday I would have no problems making any re-payments.
Please could you send me a mail ingame regarding interest rates and possible repayment schedules etc and whether or not I am eligible for a loan with yourselves.
Kind Regards Womble God Will swap cAKe for sig |

In case you didn't get official reply yet: you realize that BMBE is basicly a pawn shop? That is, you need collateral that covers more than 100% of the loan, so the bank might not be ideal for your case.

Calling BMBE a pawnshop is not really accurate given the BPO procedure that accounts for almost all of the loans it has ever given.
Torn should really change the site to reflect this.
