I realy wonder why its possible to hide in a complex for the whole day not being vulnerable execpt probably for couple of minutes if somebody manages to get a key. I really think if you use probes you should be able to warp to those targets and do whatever you think you have to with those ueber safespoters its just realy anoying. stop sharding!

Edited by: Za Po on 14/09/2006 14:58:13 Well, they are deadspace. You can't warp there. That's pretty much the point of deadspace. That's why all those rats build their bases in there. If anything, it would be nice if there was some way to hack acceleration gates.
edit: it's not just surrounded, the deadspace area itself has some sort of 'wrong' space; that's why mwds don't work in there.

Main reason I would think is because it could be exploited by people missing out parts of the plex.

Rats can use their MWDs in Deadspace for the same reason that Concord can warp in. They use a slightly different form of warp drive technology that is unaffected by deadspace. Unfortunatly such a warp field around a ship causes the amniotic fluid of any pod interface to reach boiling point due to it's quantuum flux characteristics. They fly like drunken cats because they don't have a pod interface like we do. We can't use that warp tech because we would be boiled alive.
How's that for an on the spot, out of thin air contrived RP excuse for what is obviously a game mechanic? (To be crytal clear I just made that up before anyone demands I quote my source.)

My question is more, why do you have to waste time sitting around waiting for keys there when it would be better for all concerned if you could just play through and the end prize would be the thing missing, not some key to get to the end.
I want a sense of progress running a complex, not to sit around in queue.

I know a semi-exploit, which I have no doubt some people use, that would let you enter any part of any complex, at any time.

With warp drives based off of the MWD NPCs use.

There's no such thing, either it's an exploit or it's not, that to me sounds like an exploit.

Would be better if your probes just took you to the outside of the deadspace. Would make more sense then always taking you some magical single spot. And I would have deadspace not able to be warped out of just for good measure. You have to travel to the edge and then warp off.

That allready happens, probes take you just i front of the first gate:) Still dont see why once you passed the 1st/2nd gate you become invulnerable for the whole time till respawn -.-

ok so they are making isk, you are jealous of their ability to make isk, you want to kill weaker players in a high sec space like it was 0.0 space, you can't be arsed to bother going to 0.0 space, you whine on the forums you want to kill players in high sec space
i get where this problem starts....
move your butt to 0.0 space, find a plex, find anyone not a 'freind (if there is such a thing as a friend in your standings) and kill away...problem solved.

well, it is this timer thing the complexes have, set up to favor the european players, while sticking up a middle finger at the players on that 'other' half of the world some call "bushland"
yayaya, those bushinites are pesky, they want to run a plex like those euro types, but no, the timers are not there for that.
CCP has a fear that if the 'b' players get treated with equal favor, that somehow the eve universe would implode, sucking all of the systems into another blackhole.
so accept the fact the bushinites will never be treated like real customers, and that the euro players will reign supreme (you can hear the sounds of icy lips applied to euro-rumps from the next star system, its deafening).

Interesting how you try to inject a venimous biaised political opinion which is completely out of subject and then attempt to close your argument with supposed humor to give a final touch of ambiguity.
It is impossible to define a scheduled downtime which would accomodate equally european, US and australian players. For example european players could argue that the DT schedule decreases their available playtime by 1 hour, but unless I'am mistaken I don't see people whining about that.
Anything else to feed the bubbling cerebral septic tank you use as brain ?

amazing, LOOK UP, sarcasm and humor zoooomed over your head.
now lets look at your response. hmmm, DT...DT was never mentioned ANYWHERE (until you posted), the subject was about a plex, and a plex has a timer, now to be fair the DT resets the timers, which is BULLPATTIES, and does favor one time zone by this (in relation to running a plex with all the keys and bosses present)....so you aknowledge there is truth to what I posted. one time zone is favored by this. (CCP cold let the time stamp of the last 'kill' stay in the DB as a reference, it is done in many programs I have written that use SQL db's, even ini files)
if sarcasm is beyound your ability to concieve and understand, then you should take the side of caution and STFU or get petitioned for your insults next time.
(I wonder if you sit around ranting and raving over 'The Today Show" and other comedy shows that poke fun at 'b'. Lighten up and go to Walart, I hear they are having a sell on "sense of humor" and "clues")ZOMG, more sarcasm!

Originally by: d026 possible to hide in a complex for the whole day
I wonder would the following system be exploitable: - Once someone uses a key the gate remains open till the next spawn - No spawning, or at most only small subset (non-loot-dropping guardians), would spawn while a player is inside a complex - Complex spawns fully at some point, assuming it has no players inside it (==past the entry gate)
As result one couldn't camp inside such complex in order to gain ISK. One could block it from other players, but there wouldn't be that much motivation (==profit) for it. Although might have to classify such complexes as 'trial accounts not allowed'.
Someone figure bad (worse than current) side-effects for this, or should just start lobbying CCP for something like this?
