Can you attack anyone if so desired in 0.4 space and not have reprocussions with Concord? Reason I ask is I was approaching a gate and I came across a hauler and was like....should I or shouldnt I as I did see sentry guns in the distance.
Whats the rule on 0.4 space and PVP in regards to Concord intervention?

No CONCORD, but the sentries will dish out some pretty nice damage

A vet in a cruiser can easily pop a hauler under the sentries. Try it if you are feeling frisky (just align to a warpable object - not a gate or stn!)

Im not really a PVP'er and mean by nature...........but it would be nice to get one under my belt just to see what it is like. I know what its like on the other end of the stick so my morals go the best of me in this situation. Maybe next time if Im in a grumpy mood.

Im sort of new so what is the ruling as far as pirating in the belts? Can you pop someone in a 0.6 or 0.7 belt as well and just stay away from the stations and gates for the 15 min's ?

Edited by: Benjen Karstark on 15/09/2006 13:49:17 You know Fire, it just starts with just one. Then you say to your self, hey there was nothing wrong with that, then you do another and another, next thing you know you are a full fledged pie-rat.
In .5 an higher Concord will come blast you.

CONCORD will come in 0.5 and higher systems.

Barring wars, kill rights, and crimes committed against you:
If you shoot someone in 0.5 or higher space, ANYWHERE, you get blasted into oblivion by CONCORD. It's possible, sometimes, to destroy your enemy before CONCORD destroy you, so it's a judgment call whether you think it's worth the cost of your ship to kill him. If you avoid or somehow manage to withstand CONCORD in high-sec space, it is automatically an exploit.
In empire space which is 0.4 or lower, CONCORD do not operate, but if you are within 150km of a sentry gun when you commit the attack, or at any time in the next 15 minutes move within 150km of a gun, you'll be attacked by them. Unlike CONCORD, it is possible to avoid and/or withstand sentry gun fire. It's not easy, but a well-fitted battleship can do so handily.
In non-empire space (all those systems with weird names like 1AXY-6), no NPC action of any kind will incur upon you shooting another player. Some stations out there have sentry guns, but those guns will only fire on you if you're stupid enough to attack either the station, or the guns, both of which are indestructible anyway. They don't care who you shoot. ________________________________________________

yes stay away from gates and stations if you aggress someone in .4 i attacked this pirate who kept bothering me one day. got him but my station got me. then i got into ship to go get my can and station took that one too. yes it was really dumb to do that but i learned about the aggression countdown and its effects real quick.
oh yeah total losses for that day 1 Apoc and 1 Omen and it was all my fault |
