Zealot Sacrilege Geddon Apoc Absolution Damnation

Edited by: Idara on 19/09/2006 00:36:31 Apoc was damn dead easy when I last ratted Sansha, even with my then pitiful skills.
Zealot would be quick and still do enough damage.
Absolution would be too slow for my liking, but could tank and gank better than the Zealot.
Sac? Doubt it can do enough damage, poor thing , it can tank, but hell, the Zealot can.

geddon would kill the bs rats fastest but would be slower killing frigs/cruisers and warping between belts, getting into range etc zealot kills bs rats pretty damn fast and has no trouble with the smaller stuff, faster at getting between belts etc
comes down to those 2 imo, i use a zealot myself

I will seconded the choice of the Zealot. If money is a issue, Apocalypse would be my first.

Depends how much you move. If you travel a few systesm, move from belt to belt, look in every can: Zealot If you just sit and chain and do not care about loot: geddon

I found an absolution with heavy pulse II's and a nos in high and in mid webber, scrambler, AB10 II and in low. MAR II, 3x T2 Active hardners and a T2 Heatsink and 2 cpr's
ate everything alive including a named officer spawn. Great Quotes...

Guy in my old corp used a T2 fitted Zealot and owned... like, faster than battleships ever could, regardless of their damage types.
Damage + natural resists ftw

Get geddon + t2 pulses and scorch, set up for max damage... Sansha are soooo weak tbh.

Especially when zealots "natural resists" dont cover sansha damage types...

Yes i just noticed this as well...
To everyone else it appears the Zealot is way out in front...
Did none of you encounter cap problems?
Did you all find that you could easily tank the large Triple BS spawns with your guns/tank running np?
I assume everyone used the pulse/ab setups?
thx ____________________ MOGarmy

Just keep transversal up, pop the frigs/cruiser/BCs first, and the BSs won't be able to touch you, except with the missiles. But those do crap all damage because you're a cruiser.

Probably because you dont know how cheap that ammo is - and i like cost-effectiveness. Before zealot closes to use multifrequency ill have 1-2BS removed already. And it pays back quickly (usually after 3-5 belts you have paid your ammo set which lasts for 50 or so belts).

The zealot will be awesome to rat in the belts. Kills very fast and a usual tec2 setup will do the job very well. I prefer the Zealot then the BS, mainly because of their agility and is way easier to manouvre between the rocks then the Apos/Geddon.
You really dont need tec2 ammo tought ... the tec1 crystals will do the job nicely.

i use
4x heavy pulse II 1x TS med nos
1x 10mn ab II 1x TS web 1x TS cap recharger
3x TS heatsinks 1x TS thermal hardener 1x TS eanm 1x TS small rep 1x TS med rep
the faction stuff is complete overkill but its fun setup worked just fine with t2 frigs, cruisers and missiles hit you, you can easily tank all that with the small rep, the med rep is there just in case, sometimes i need to do an occasional cycle of the med rep cap wont sustain the med rep but then it doesnt need to triple tyrants = no problem

i never have any problem with cap on my setup.
one other thing overlooked too, the zealot with its much greater speed and really short range is a lot more able to o****eract the sansha tracking disrupt when they ecm you. you just engage to a 7.5km orbit and still pop them like no tomorrow.
officer spawns etc have lower em/therm rsists than normal sansha anyways so if you can pwnz a triple tyrant, dread lord spawn then chelm and vizan are no problem whatsoever

I loved using an apoc for ratting sanshas. 8x t2 mega puls (plus drones vs frigs) was good enough to kill any spawn and a dual large repairer tank can take an awesome beating.
Pretty cheap and not that skill intensive.
May you live in interresting times. |
