How is it that CCP put up a link to a site that advertises ISK selling on their front page news item?!?!
I am of course talking about EVE Radio. Whos google ads advertise isk selling, right there center front on their home page.

No you dont understand, eve radio DOESNT have 100 % control on whats on there site. they are google adds not there own adds.
Yes CCP could withdraw the link from there site but that would cut off something very cool from the game...

This has already been debated to death on these forums.
EVE Radio *can* stop the ISK seller google ads, they've been shown repeatedly how to filter them out. Every time this is pointed out to them the EVE Radio head honchos go off on a rant and do nothing. EVE Radio chooses to keep the ISK seller ads up and running.
CCP know this and still allow them to advertise on the official EVE website, which personally I find odd since the ISK sellers are directly competing with CCP's own ISK-selling scheme, the GTC system.

Yes they DO (ok, maybe not 100% as some things will receive legal action, but otherwise...) have control over whats on their site. They could just not have the google advert, or if it's required by host, get a different host.
If a school linked to a radio station that had adverts for child **** sites in their advert box, I can assure you that "we cant control it" would be adequate defence to keep the the radio station linked to until they removed the advert. (Yes, its an extreme example, but you get the idea... there is choice involved in sticking with something that advertises something you're against, and many options to remove the advert)

have control = you can tell a supplier you no longer want that ad. that ad gets removed. it then gets replaced, eventually, by another ad of similar genre. you can't cut out a certain type of ad, not and keep the ads. ER needs the ads to pay for the hundreds/thousands of dollars/month to run the servers and provide a free service.
also - if you don't want to buy ISK, don't click on the ad. nobody is forcing anything on you

OK so the isk sellers pay for th ad, eve radio gets money from said ad, so Eve radio is being supported by Isk sellers! better and better.
As for the old "dont click on it" argument. No I wont be clicking on it, but thats hardly the point is it.
