All threads i read around here i see alot of people saying "come to 0.0 its great" lots of pvp lots of good pve if i want that. But wth every damn gatesystem (the system bordering to a 0.0 region) is omgwtfpwned gatecamped the only way i can resonably get in is to be in a corp that is gatecamping it. WTF is the only way to get in to 0.0 to keep others out wtf? well anyways i havent checked all 0.0 gatesystems so i was wondering if anyone here has any tips on places were you can slip in to the magic 0.0 without getting omgwtfboubblepwned by an interdictor and 9 BS:es sniping from 4 AU:s away or something.

the hardest part of 0.0 is getting in there.. and to some extend (with bubbles alot more common) is getting out.. save ur cash and use a shuttle to try and get out, and pick an off peak time and buy what u need in there.. once in its easier to rat etc than in low sec

You must have crap luck.. I've never had problems at borders except for a couple in the north. If you try to enter 0.0 in an area that only has one enterance within 20 jumps then yea, expect a camp. Only time i have seen a border camp in the past 6 months consisted of a bubble and a scorpion... Haulers, the t1 kind, were still making it through the gate... was kinda funny. If your looking for 0.0 access then send a mail. As for anyone else that wants 0.0 access, find your own help. -------------------------------------- ---"What's in your wallet?"--- "There are two kinds of respect, fear and admiration.... Well my alliance keeps our chokepoint clear most of the time... quite often we have a gatecamp there to ensure no pirates gank our members.

Get out of living perhaps, shuttles are about 1/5 the speed you can get with a cheap frigate and an MWD on it, which is the best way beyond say cyno fields of getting into or out of 0.0.
Fly fast and agile, and make the run around midnight US time or later and you'll generally be fine. Try and find a low traffic chokepoint too, it helps.

step 1 - create alt step 2 - put alt in shuttle step 3 - put alt in 0.0 border system step 4 - use alt to scout system before main goes into 0.0
also make sure alt has clone in nearby system

Your other option is to try going just after downtime when less people have logged on and had time to prepare a camp, but the recon idea or alt idea is good too.. Make sure you purchase Insta-jumps

excellent way of doing it. also you can just jump into it with a covert op, recon to scout once you scouted and its clear swap to whatever ship you plan on using, knowing the locals and have corp mate already in 0 helps too. they can tell you when the gates are camped

Hi Kano,
I know Tre got some tight connections with some top 0.0 coperations. Why don't you let your diplomats arrange some 0.0 access.
Cheers,
Jan

Yes they have some but i have only been in Tre for a couple of days so its just recently i can get into 0.0 thru my corporation and i think that they mostly want you to help them camp the gate. But well i will try to get into but the thing is that they have it in the "north-east" section of the eve-map and im in the "mid-west" were my corp has its empire hq and its a ****load of jumps to do. But basically this thread has given me the tools to get into 0.0 but i dont understand how a recon cruiser whould help me get into 0.0 past a gatecamp does it have some kind of warning system?

Edited by: Copine Callmeknau on 20/09/2006 08:51:43 I had a friend start playing EVE on a trial the other day. After he did his first mission, he asked where I was. I was in TDE4-H, a warzone atm.
About an hour later he showed up in system in his slasher, having come from Ammold the minnie starting system.
No instas No experience No clue
It's really not that hard :/
EDIT: No, I did not give him advice on how to stay alive, yes he used an autopilot route.

Instas make it easier, however never rely soley on these.
Use the map to see where groups of ppl are. If your 0.0 has a few entry gates, see which one is the least populated. Use a quick frig (shuttle only goes ~500) with a mwd or ab and, dont whatever you do, go afk. If you like what you see, you can start buying/making instas, transporting goods yada yada yada. Map and timing are the key.
Lol I just realised ive never been camped going into 0.0. been station camped in 0.0 many times though :(

Getting into 0.0 is the easiest thing to do in the game - getting to the 2nd 0.0 system is the trick - after that its normally safer - just gotta watch out for the roaming gangs. -------------------------------------

Yup It's still 0.0, which is what the OP was complaining about getting into
Pretty much proves my point, 0.0 is not the pointy death everyone imagines it to be.

Set your map to "average number of pilots in space in the last hour" and plan your route to avoid locations with several people because if its not a system with a station in it more than about 2 people will usually mean a gate camp.
Also alliances typically claim a region and they do work prety hard to keep everyone else out, they dont want other members of their alliance getting blown up. The easiest way to gain access to 0.0 is to join the alliance operating out of that area.
If your not in a corp you might aswell forget about 0.0 because everyone regards someone in a NPC corp as a spy (roll a new char and use it to scout out enemy locations).

only hard bit is the bottlenecks. HED-GP through down Catch and the 0.0 next to Taisy and that one i forgot the name of next to Torronis are probably the most infamous 0.0 entrypoints and some are camped seemingly 23/7, but its really not that difficult to get into 0.0
take a look at the map and try and find alternative routes - if HED-GP is too camped and you need to get to somewhere like Catch/Stain you can always go through Providence, Curse, Querious or even Delve (flying through BoB space isn't as dangerous as people seem to think), although you'd be needing a travel setup for any of those unless you enjoy being killed by a single roaming interceptor ----------- <3 Turbulance |

The only time a gate camp popped me was when my ship refused to jump through the gate. My transport is a Malediction or Crusader with nanofibers and MWD. For some reason, my ship just bounced off of the gate and popped 2 seconds later. Then the autopilot said it was jumping and I woke up in my home station. Good times. Other than that, no problems.
