Let it be known that this is a record of all my sins and my first step on the long road to redemption. It's a journey I do not undertake lightly and I do not yet know if I have fallen so far that I cannot return to the light, indeed this is as much a test of faith as it is journey of enlightenment.
Just as this record marks the beginning of my journey to the light so shall it recount my descent.
So...Who am I?
My origins are nothing special. I had no personal tragedy or great events in my childhood that could excuse the choices I would later make. I was the son of a small merchant family based in the core systems of Aridia, I choose not to reveal their names to spare them the shame of my crimes. My life was fairly dull and uneventful learning the ropes crewing for the Mule as we called her, an aging Bestower left over when the newer models (modified for pod pilots) were becoming more common. Now she is employed by my family, making the regular delivery runs between the local stations. It was an uncle from my mothers side who declared I may have what it takes to become a pod pilot, given the status and opportunity to become essentially immortal it took little time for my parents to decide I was going to enroll at the Hedion University.
As you can already guess I made it through the necessary training and adjustments needed to become a pod pilot and before I knew it I was standing in the hanger bay of the Hedion University station in Sehmy staring at my first ship with 1000isk to my name and little else. Looking back now I realise what a godawful (pardon my blasphemy) pile of junk it was but back then I was too busy dreaming of glorious battles and exploring the riches of the rim too see what was infront of me.
Anyway, I disgress. My first experience of true free flight was something I'll never forget, launching from the University station just as the sun appeared around the horizon. This was far different from the training and simulations I had been through and it was the first time I realised just how free I was now. The rules and laws that had governed my former life no longer seemed to apply, my life and destiny were truly my own. While my new life stretched out before me, my old life had not been forgotten and old habits die hard. My early days of pod flight were spent learning about the world I had stepped into while I was employed by agents of Zoar & Sons on fairly simple shipping runs. That all changed when I struck up a conversation with an Amarrian trader who went by the unusual alias of Rogue Smoke. I can't remember how we got talking but in a short time he had purchased me a small Punisher frigate. Now it seems like a fairly small thing but for a bright eyed rookie it had me practically hopping up and down with excitement. Heh, you may have heard the phrase "Don't feed the strays". Well I guess you could say that applied here. After receiving my gift I trailed after the mysterious trader wherever he went with a constant stream of questions. Fortunately, as time passed I settled down and we became good friends, eventually forming our own corporation. The corporation grew at a comfortable pace as we settled down and developed our skills and asset collections, however something seemed to be bothering my trader friend. With increasing frequency he would go off on excursions to the outer systems, to places I had never heard of and places that I heard were actually controlled by other pod pilots far more powerful than I was. Then one day he went out and never came back and to this day there has been no sign or message that he is still alive.

For a time I took the reins of running the corporation, a task I soon found I was far from capable of handling. In an attempt to accommodate our constant growth I tried to lead the everyone to south Domain to establish a new home, I knew the risks were greater without concord to watch over us but the rewards seemed to be worth it. In the end however I didn't have what it took to convince my fellow members to move down. Then came the day when I was to make the first kill that would lead me on the path to damnation.
"You never forget your first", such a simple truth it is. I remember I was clearing a pack of Blood Raider frigates from a local asteroid belt. They were no threat to my Maller and so I passed the time in conversation with my fellow corpmates, still trying to convince them to move down. After several days of this with no progress my frustration was reaching breaking point. Another ship entered the belt, an Omen cruiser piloted by one of the regular locals who frequented the system collecting ore. Before I even realised it my frustration had found a focus. I have no recollection of what I was thinking, or even if I was thinking at all. There was only a silent roar and a cruel satisfaction as I watched my victims armour peel away under my laser fire leaving a ravaged hulk and a pod screaming profanities. Something in me changed that day, I didn't feel guilt or pity only the need to experience that first feeling of joy again. Without a second thought I turned my back on my fellow corpmates, my friends and attacked everything I could find. In time the feeling faded but piracy had become a natural way of life to me. The politics and concerns of others meant nothing, only the acquisition of wealth from ransoms and salvaged debris concerned me. Now 2 years on I find myself back in south Domain. I've traveled around most of the cluster twice over and done things I would never have imagined myself doing. And yet for all the wealth and experience I have acquired I am left feeling empty and directionless. As I turn my thoughts back to my home and family I have no choice but to face the truth of what I have done. It would be easy to pretend that the last 2 years were another lifetime, that I had become another person but that would be a lie. I chose my path and if I can ever hope to be forgiven in the eyes of God I must acknowledge my sins freely and truthfully and be prepared to pay whatever price is asked of me. As part of my penance and journey to redemption I shall serve the Empire as I served myself, to commit myself both body and soul to the work of God.

There is a saying amongst some Ni-Kunni - you can leave the Empire, but the Empire never leaves you.
By appropriate study of the Scriptures, and by submitting to God's will, I hope that you will find absolution.
Confessing your sins is the first, and in many ways the hardest, step.
The next step is usually a programme of penitence, designed to purify your soul.
I'm sure that such a programme can be arranged for you.

You disgust me. You kill people for money and then turn your back on it because you don't even have the conviction to continue doing it? It's the same with all of you Amarrians - strong in talk, weak in action. The thought I share even faint genetic similarity with you positively sickens me.

So your confession is that you wish to stop engaging in senseless murder and instead engage in slave trading and the general suppression of other races?
This is the general meaning behind ôfollow Godö I presume.
It's amazing just how different Amarr born citizens living here within the Federation are from those still living in Amarr controlled space. Perhaps it's our excellent education system that makes the difference.

We Amarr do not suppress the other races. We liberate them by enlightening them of their shackles to the masters known as fear, greed and lust. We show them an escape from these shackles, an escape only possible by confessing their allegiance and soul to a truthful and lenient master, God and his chosen people, the True Amarr (who in turn follow the theology council who attempts to interprete gods will directly, a mighty effort indeed which takes a lifetime of contemplation). There by we also save their souls from eternal damnation.
Enslavement until enlightenment is an unfortunate result of the wish of the people of Amarr to save these people from their bondage, though I personally do not approve of the methods that some Holders practice when fulfilling this duty (though that is an internal Amarr issue, and such discussion is not suitable for the minds of the unenlightened).

God moves in ways we as mere mortals can not often understand. The scriptures state you only knock once at the door of God after that forever are you lost. A man may spend a lifetime repenting for past sins and attempting to redeem himself in the eyes of the Lord. While the scriptures are clear on this and redemption seems a lost cause only God can truly know the heart of the sinner.
Confession of sins is paramount and to that end Wild Rho seems to have come to understand the error of his ways. A life of piracy and crime dominated his years yet the fire of God still lights the way to all and while the scriptures may condemn you forever it does not mean you should not attempt to be redeemed. Effort is all and lack of effort is an afront to God Himself.
The cries of the weak present here criticizing you for your confession and your attempt at redemption are very telling. Corrupt sick decadent Gallante swine more focused on a blue pill fix and a late night rendevous for illict activity on holoreels. Hardly reputable people of God are they?
We can all argue about the quality of redemption yet Grand Inquisitor Gaius Kador is correct. While he will review this case in the end we all face God alone.

You believe it takes conviction to murder and steal? Well I can't say it would suprise me that a Gallente would confuse conviction with greed. It was Gallente "conviction" that led to war with the Caldari, you spout about freedom but when they chose to live their lives as they wished you demanded that their colonies adopt YOUR way of life, YOUR beliefs. And when they refused to conform to your idea of freedom (ironic isn't it) your paranoia led to the bombing of their homeword and the deaths of millions.
I at least can acknowledge my sins and now seek to atone for them, and I do not have to justify my choice to you heathen! God will decide if I can be redeemed.

For someone supposedly incalculably more intelligent, I'm surprised you're missing out such simple things such as apostrophes - they didn't teach you basic punctuation in church school, eh? Shame.
And I wouldn't sleep with a Slaver, or an Amarr. But then again, who would? Hah. Must be a horrible time to be an Amarr, really - your grand army was crushed by the Jovians, you've lost a third of your workforce when they decided they couldn't stomach your whips and chains anymore, you have the Caldari slowly getting sick of your arrogance and the Blood Raider Covenant is circling to pick at the carcass of your broken empire.
If you care, remember this: I'll be floating above Amarr Prime the day your capital cities crumble and burn, and I'll be laughing as your fetid race gets what's coming to it. You were once great, but a glorious past means nothing. Destroy your present and your future is nonexistent, and your past is irrelevant.

I shall make sure that my comms slave is made aware of his error. Hopefully, when he recovers he'll be more careful about such things.
Quote: And I wouldn't sleep with a Slaver, or an Amarr. But then again, who would? Hah. Must be a horrible time to be an Amarr, really - your grand army was crushed by the Jovians,
It was a small force. And rather than being an army, it consisted of naval units. Didn't they teach you basic military terms in your flight school? Maybe you were too busy watching holofilth whilst having your brain rot to pay much attention.
Quote: you've lost a third of your workforce when they decided they couldn't stomach your whips and chains anymore,
Workshy layabouts.
Quote: you have the Caldari slowly getting sick of your arrogance
On the contrary, relations between the State and the Empire have never been better.
Quote: and the Blood Raider Covenant is circling to pick at the carcass of your broken empire.
This would be the Blood Raider Covenant that was decisively expelled from the Bleak Lands a year ago?
Quote: If you care, remember this: I'll be floating above Amarr Prime the day your capital cities crumble and burn, and I'll be laughing as your fetid race gets what's coming to it.
Your desire for geoncide reveals your true self. You would sit by and laugh while an entire race is destroyed? Disgusting.
Fortunately, such a thing will never come to pass.

How sad, an old, aging voice, pining for the return of a regieme long dead and buried, desperately trying to convince himself that he's right when all his logic tells him he is incorrect. None of the things you say are true - you're either nostalgic or senile. Ah well, the old take comfort in their delusions, no harm done.
And as for your accusation of delighting in genocide - I hardly call your measily collection of fanatical fundamentalist basketcases a "race", nor the fading, antiquated system under which they live an "empire"... I think the correct terms are "inmates" and "asylum" respectively. Besides, you imply that there's something about Amarrians worth preserving from genocide.
