Minmatar space is all brown and ugly. Can't believe I never noticed it before... I guess it takes some time to step away and then come back. So, all right, where do the stars look like they ought to look in a proper sci-fi game? Drone regions maybe? (I haven't been there since the Bush administration...) |

I love Metropolis, it's home to me.
But Jove Space is one of the more beautiful places, in my opinion. Syndicate, The Forge, Wormholes, I couldn't really pick a favourite. |

The only other high-quality shot I have is this one of Caroline's Star.
I plan on taking more once I get my new computer, but for now, I can't get any good ones.
If, however, you wish to travel to inaccessible places in New Eden, then you can do this through the Starmap (you may know it already, I'll just repeat it anyway (I hope you don't mind if you already know)):
-Bring up the Information panel for the system where you desire to see the nebula
-Click on the Orbital Bodies tab, and Right-click on any Planet
-Select 'View in Planet Mode'
There's nothing like seeing the spectacle for yourself, but not everyone has that time in their hands. This way, you can see the Outer Ring in its fullest glory, and see into the depths of Alliance space without having to encounter the dangers of travelling there. |

Out of all the places in high-sec, Verge Vendor is one of my favourites; some people might say it's a tad too bright, but personally I think it's just about right. I was tempted to move there, but alas, it's a bit further out of the way in relation to where I tend to travel, so I stayed put.
Other then that, one of the regions in Amarr space (can't remember if it was Khanid or Tash specifically) also had quite a nice contrast; I wouldn't go with Domain itself (yes, I'm a heathen), as that clashes too much with the gate animations in my opinion. I agree with you about Minmatar high-sec, it does look very plain after a while especially as there's no tangible difference between Metropolis and Heimatar.
For low/nul, I would go with the Cloud Ring, but only because I've explored a small part of SOV space and WH's even less, although I do remember those being particularly eye-pleasing... no screenshots, sadly |

As already mentioned, if you can get out there, Cloud Ring and the various views of it from surrounding space are beautiful!
(spoilers obviously if you want to go out and see it in person like a real pilot!)

I like the Verge Vendor nebula the best. it is visible form several Gallente regions.
If you want to go look at Cloud ring and other Null sec nebulae, log into Sisi and go for a tour.

The far south is nice, the green nebula down by Immensea, Feyhabolis and Omist is rather pretty. The Northwest is most definitely not, Deklein and Branch don't even have nebulas, though Cloud Ring is rather pretty. |
