While being part of the PC master race I like to play EvE on my mac now and again (can sit where I like). So it becomes really annoying when I have to hold down the function(fn) key to shoot anybody or use a module.
Would be swell if I could swap around the F1+ functions with 1,2,3,4,5 etc. |

Can't you do this via remapping keys? Are the "Fx" keys locked? |

One of my corpies has definitely remapped some of the module keys so I guess you could drag the stuff around if the top line is locked to F1-F8.
I'm at work so I can't check where the option is, sorry. |

You can already do this
escape menu -> shortcuts -> modules
One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Keep in mind that you're probably going to have to remap a few shortcuts to get the ones you want doing what you want, but the ability to remap commands is already in the game.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.

in mac os preferences you can turn off the mac os features so that the function keys act like function keys. from apple site below: 1.Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu. 2.From the View menu, choose Keyboard. 3.Click the Keyboard tab if it is not already selected 4.Enable "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys."
Turn it back on when you want them to do all the other stuff like adjust volume and brightness. |
