not if u're not on it. and please stop worrying about it, cus if we DO crash nodes intentionally, i'm sure it'll be said.

I crashed the node on purpose. Sorry guys, I was about to accidentally pop an omber roid and I could stop the miner's cycle in time so I had to do it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You don't get this.
EVERY SINGLE NODE DROP WILL BE ACCIDENTAL.
Tell me again about willfully taking down a node.
And yet no official reply by ASCN leadership to Nez's simple question.
When are you gonna get it? Nez is a nobody and why should CYVOK or anyone in ASCN waste their time with an official response for him? They dont need to answer to him...

Hmm, when did Burn Eden come such a big part of this? Unless i missed a post all i have seen is Wildcats post on like the 4th page which had nothing to do with the current talking point of this thread.
Besides, with BE's kill count over the years if they only gank miners then how are ASCN still alive?
I wish people would get to know the facts before posting, it helps you not to look like a complete fool.
With regards to the thread i wish all participants the best of luck, there are going to be (and are already) server problems, lets just hope the server holds up for the really decicive battles so the outcome of this war reflects the leadership and execution and not who managed to take best advantage of node crashes.

.. try and spin that...
Since you're still on this topic. I'll say this.
I have access to ASCN CEO forums and am one of the leadership for Ars Caelestis. Let me say this plainly.
We have NOT been authorized to delibertly bring down a node. We have NOT been authorized to use other lag generating exploits.
The origional blog post (page ?8?) was written when ASCN was expecting an AAA attack. AAA is infamous for their apparent game abuse with lag generators and login traps. GMs seem unable or unwilling to deal with the AAA exploits, or even classify them AS exploits. Thus in the BLOG post, CYVOK authorized the use of AAAs tactics against them. Part of the reasoning to do so was to try to get CCP to wake up and deal with the problem. That authorization has since been revoked.
The CURRENT and SEPERATE issue is a SPECULATIVE statement by CYVOK of what ASCN MIGHT do if faced with the situation of hardware limitations working heavily against us. It is NOT, as some are trying to spin it, authorization for ASCN pilots to randomly or continually crash nodes in this conflict. -- The Future is Exciting.

it matters not who I am.. what matters is that the EVE community is watching...
and so far the only response from ASCN leadership (Cyvok) has been to say that they may crash the EVE nodes if they feel that the EVE servers are hindering their efforts...
If that is going to be ASCN's final official stance... then the community at large can come to its own conclusions...
And don't say that ASCN doesn't care, cause that would be the biggest lie of all.

Since I am pretty much a nobody in the eve community, just watching the events unfurl with wide-eyed curiosity (since I am new to eve, and have never been in a game with a political landscape of the magnitude found here). I will say: I couldn't care less if any of the BoB, or ASCN leaders get on here and reply to you. I've seen tons of ASCN members reply that they have no interest in trying to intentionally bring the servers down. Based on everything I've read in this forum over the last few months, both BoB and ASCN seem to be among the most honorable players in the game.
Apart from getting stomped out of Pure Blind a while back by some BoB guys, I haven't had personal experience with either of them, and I've certainly never been involved in battles the scale of which are going on now. Honestly, I'd rather hear more about what's going on with the fighting! Looks like a lot of ships are being destroyed, but the map doesn't say if POS's are being attacked or not. What's going on?!

k.... fair enough.. you like I are just a bystander and you believe both sides will play fair, just like I did..... until Cyvok in his infinite wisdom posted the following:
Originally by: Cyvok If I am given the choice of watching a station get obliterated from another system because CCP wont let me in to defend it or crashing the node by logging in 2000 ASCN members next store... Well, which woudl you choose?
.. k .. then one might say.. well he is just one opinion, everybody else in ASCN seems to be against such tactics.... but Cyvok is their top man... he is effectively their leader..
then in another thread it appears John McReedy, CEO of EDF, the second in command in ASCN.. has also in a separate internal forum post also authorised lagbombs and log on tactics...
So ASCN membership is saying one thing but their leadership another. Nevermind that this schizophrenic approach to the issue bodes ill for ASCN's campaign efforts, this also means that if nobody stands up and calls them out on it, they are going to think its okay.. and its not.
Well why does this affect us?
It affects everybody in EVE, because ASCN is the biggest alliance in the game and their example is followed across the universe.
Do you now understand why this is of such vital importance?

Don't really care either. I have friends in both alliance, I'm willing to bet they all just want some clean fun.

No need for minte by minute updates... its gonna be a long war so that will get old fast.
Suffice it to say that the Unstoppable force came crashing into the unmoveable object.
The result was a loud "BONK" sound and a lot of players sitting there going "Ow".
This will continue until the unstoppable force is stopped or the unmoveable object is moved...
Now if you excuse me.

I don't getit... Either the dev's are no reading the damn forums or they don't have a clue what it means.
When Sir Molle makes a post... i think a dev should politely ask what nodes to reinforce or something like that...
BOB gang crashed several times already ... and that is a ******* shame... since were not eve talking about a battle... theyr gang alone did that to some poor systems in paragon that are not used to jita like trafic.
Ah... just reading the news... all devs are busy clearing up the petition queue... not acting now... just prepares the next zilion petitions... imho
