Well, I've decided to go with the Curse after some helpful tips. Now my main dilema is what to fit in the mid slots, ECM or tracking disruptors. I looked through the "ship setup index" but, after reading all of the setups I am even more confused about this ship. It seems a lot of the setups use both ECM and TD's which, does not make sense to me. If the target is jammed then the TD's are of no use, and why not just specialize in one of the two so that the ship would have more of an effect? Also many setups use 5 x Med NOS, to me this seems to be overkill, with the NOS bonuses it would appear that any more than 3 NOS would be a waste of slots. Anyway the question is. Which would be more beneficial to a curse pilot who flys with a Ferox. TD's or the infamous ECM?
Thanks for all of the help.

A combination of ECM and TDs is used because that way when the ECMs fail(They will), you won't be completely defenseless unless it's a missile boat (This is also a large part of the reason many setups use a Caldari ECM along with the TD.)

ECM. Also a pretty clear indicator that ecm is way too strong, since ECM > other ew + shipbponus.
Also, NOS are NOT primary there to help you tank, but to break the other ships tank. Good curse setups use usually 1-2 energy neuts to kill the enemy cap faster.

Ships that will cause you problems vs your Tracking Disruptor: - Caldari missile spammers (cerb, raven, etc) - Typhoon - Gallente drone boats (ishtar, domi, etc)
SO ur better off fitting 1 caldari racial, 1 gallente racial, 1 tracking disruptor + fill the rest with multispecs.

You can also just avoid going after exclusive drone boats and ships that don't need cap to function (properly passive tanked feroxes can be nasty if you fail to jam them)
But for the medslots, try going 1 MWD, 1 warp discruptor, 2 tracking discruptors 2 caldari jammers
that will let you wtfpwn anny turret based ship (were did ma trakin go?!) and hopefully jam caldari ships that together with speed of a mwd and the omg nos-sniping of the curse will leave you with a really evil ship :) |

Thankyou all for the advice. I ended up trying a setup with 3 med Nos 1 Neutralizer, and a (don't laugh) Arbalast rocket launcher for drone defense I guess :P With the Medium slots I am still a bit confused after a AB, Web and scram I was left with three slots I tried 3 TD's which seemed to work pretty well against all even a couple of Ravens who escaped my scram range and bailed out of the fun. Then I read the posts so I equipped 2 compulsive Multipec ECM and 1 caldari ECM. I'm not sure if this will work better than the three TD's which haven't failed yet. And in the low slots I have a T2 Med armor repairer, 1 t2 adaptive nano and two t2 hardners (I forgot which ones atm). Any advice on this setup would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Don't bother with a rocket launcher for drones, the damage is too low to even kill one drone in time. Fit another small nos/neut and use your own drones to kill theirs.

If I could fly a curse, I'd go with a combination. If you're unlucky enough to run into a ship with an ECCM module, your tracking disruptors may be the only thing that saves you; just be wary of autocannon boats that don't rely on optimal range and have good tracking to begin with. -Wrayeth

Gallente drone problems will cause you trouble even if you jamm them. There's no point in using gallente racial jammer
Caldari is the main weakness as far as tracking disruptors go

ECM - iwin against everyone (multispecs)
Damps - iwin against all ships that dont have sensor boosters (and still iwin against turret based snipers), good only in 1v1 tho
TDs - iwin against amarr and gallente, mediciore against matari (ACs), useless against caldari
Pick what you like but i myself prefer to use "iwin" modules :)

ya know what, u always go with both..that time outside the station..i was fitted with both but i forgot :(
anyway, go with both, more flexible should u encounter multiple targets.

1x Tracking disruptor, 1x multispec jammer, 1x grav jammer.
That's what I use, unless I know what I'll be fighting and then I change the grav jammer for another racial jammer.

A guy admittedly in a pilgrim not curse attacked me a few weeks ago in 0.0. I drove him off (killing drones 4TW) but to disengage he used some form of ecm on me, was pretty effective cos dominix isn't the weakest sensor ship around. _______
