QUESTIONS A friend of mine has taken over one of my corps and is now the only member. He has a high security standing (over 7.0 with skills) and his purpose is to raise the corp standing up to that level (being the only member) so we can deploy a POS in hi-sec space. Some questions though.
1. How long will it take the corp standing to raise up to his once my alt has left the corp?
2. Am I correct you only need the high corp standing to deploy the tower and modules can be deployed by anyone then?
3. Does corp standing drop the instant I rejoin the corp (I'm at like 1.0 standing) or does it take awhile like it does to go up?
Thanks, Calladen

1. I think around 1 week.
2. You need a high faction standing. 6.0 for 0.6 systems and so on.
3. No, corp standings are changed during downtime.

Edited by: NiBorg on 01/10/2006 20:24:59 The standings are based on the unmodified faction standing. It does take quite a bit longer actually, I'm doing the same thing now. 0-5 went rather quickly but 5-6 is taking a long time. It's past 2 weeks now and going on 3. The standings wont drop till the next daily reboot but certainly dont waste any time at all.

^^ What he said is important, the unmodified standing is what counts when it comes to corp standing.
So you need 0.5+ BEFORE skill increase. So you can have 7 with skills but still corp standing wouldn't go above 5 or whatever. Remember to check the "before skills" info.

NPC corp -> your corp uses the modified standings I beleive, or does it use the un modified like the faction-> corp.
I think it has to be modified, since we have 8.0+ with home gard in our corp, and the person who got it up that high needed rank 4 in connections to raise it up.

Answers Quote: 1. How long will it take the corp standing to raise up to his once my alt has left the corp?
Hard to say as any changes we witness is oberved and any pattern we see is inferred. A dev would have to give a solid answer on it. However each day it will increase (rate=???) until the the corporation's faction standing has reached the average of all in the corp. Quote: 2. Am I correct you only need the high corp standing to deploy the tower and modules can be deployed by anyone then?
Correct. Do not know if this is a bug or not but once the tower is deployed it is deployed. The corporation faction standing can fall below the required amount and the tower will not offline or unanchor. This also goes for the deployment of structures which does not appear to have any standings check of any kind. Just checks for a nearby control tower. Quote: 3. Does corp standing drop the instant I rejoin the corp (I'm at like 1.0 standing) or does it take awhile like it does to go up?
It does not immediately drop. However it will drop but if the tower is deployed it will not matter. I've actually gone through this experience myself and sweated out the potential problems when accepting old corpies back into the corporation. Key thing: Once the tower is anchored... it is anchored. Period.

That's the thing, can the tower remain online once the corp's faction standing drops below the proper amount?

Also, how many charters do you need to keep it running?

Yes Originally by: Megan Ryder Also, how many charters do you need to keep it running?
1 relevant charter per hour. 24 per day. 168 per week. Etc., etc.

it's based on the unmodified NPC faction standings (before skills) not NPC corp standings. if you have a 4.0 to caldari state as an example but your skills bring you up to say a 6.0 you are still seen as a 4.0 when it comes to this process. easy way to figure it out is to examine the standings on your members and what shows up to you is what shows up to the system.

Easy to check your corps faction standing is to check your corps standings and then right click and choose show composition. Voila every members unmodified standing shows up. As for numbers, my corp is in the proces of gaining standing meaning we have kicked the low standing members in order to increase our standing so we can deploy a high sec pos.
Date Corp Kjel Spam Riga Firid Increase 30 09 2.79 8.45 8.07 6.09 4.76 01 10 3.81 8.57 8.07 6.09 4.76 +1.08 02 10 4.57 8.59 8.07 6.13 4.76 +0.76 03 10 5.15 8.60 8.07 6.13 4.76 +0.58 04 10 5.60 8.72 8.09 6.13 4.84 +0.45 05 10 5.95 8.83 8.09 6.13 5.02 +0.35
This may come in handy for some.

Trying to set this up on the test server to make sure it works. Im at a standing of 6.42 with gall nation before skills and im the only 1 in the corp but it wont let me set up a pos as the corps standings are 0. Do my standings not become the corp standings if Im the only 1 in the corp or is it something unique to the test server ? Any help would be gratefully recieved

Is there a way to work out how long it will take or is it a case of suddenly it shows my corp standings as the same as mine ?

It is purely a test server situation. I ran into it myself. An arcane facet of the test server, with its limitationss, is that your corp standings won't adjust one way or the other if you don't visit the test server. (I.e. why should it waste the cpu cycles adjusting the entire corporate population of eve when it doesn't have to... )
PS: Similar thing happens if you log in at a system no one else uses on Test server. You have to wait for that system to load. This system loading also happens as you travel till you reach loaded systems. It's one of those freaky things that make you go, "Hunh?!?"

To give a clear picture of whats possible, check out my Characters Standings (in game) and then the corp I am currently in for the purpose of raising standings for a hi sec POS. Corp name is NOX Trading. At the time of writing this post the standing to Gallente is 4.86 and this after just 2 DT's. Ceo of the corp is a new alt with no standings.
My previous customers Corp formed again by Alts, was "Rhanes research and development" I achieved migration of my full range of standings to max in about 9 days in the corp. Ie 8.2 to gallente and 9 plus to Fed Intel and Fed customs. (thus enabling Jump clones for the two members). The standings have not declined in that corp over the 2 plus weeks I have been away from it. no new members have joined, the 2 alts do all the research work. I suggest a quick search in people and places for these characters/corps, it is quite interesting. convo me if you require any further info :)

I kicked everyone out of our corp in order to increase our corp standings so we could put up a high sec pos. Until i did an important mission that increased my faction standings, our corp standings stayed the same.
After the next downtime, our standings began to increase. I waited two downtimes before i started running missions and our standings didnt change at all during these two days.
Running that important mission was like a kick start to increasing our standings.
One question, if the pos runs out of fuel after our corp standings drop below whats needed to anchor the pos, can it be brought online again with bad standings or would you need to go thru the whole kick everyone out ordeal again?

Standings go approximately 25% towards the mathematical average of base standings for all non-zero standings in the corp, at each DT, and only start getting calculated if any of the individual standings of any corp members has changed recently.
Hope THAT helps __ Always question everything. Including yourself. |
