Any plans to bring back EVE Power of 2 Promotion? Maybe as the holidays approach, or to celebrate the 30k PCU milestone? I actually have money, now, and could afford it. |

Well, here's hoping, anyway. I finally figured out what I might do with a second account, too. |

Sounds like a good idea, if they time it right I could maybe use 2 of my accounts to get accounts 4 and 5! _______

TBH, I think its not all that great a deal.
I was paying ú15 a month via direct debit directly to CCP every month, but now I pay ú21.50 (or $39) every 90days as I use GTC's.
The GTC's equate to just over ú7 a month whereas with the power of 2 offer, I would have to create a new alt and it would cost me more, ie approx ú7.50 a month.
It might just be because you get quite a good exhange rate on dollars to sterling nowadays
But, meh, thats just my 2 ISK.

I doubt very much this would happen. Last promotion was in march, that is aproximatley 7 months ago. I would venture to say that if anything CCP will do the P^2 promotion again in another 5 months or so, just a guess.

I hope they don't offer it for a while. (BTW, my P2 account just rolled and, yes, I did extend it.) Anything that increases the player load is problematic until lag is banished from the galaxy... |

As I remember the power of two was launched around the time of the Bloodlines patch wasn't it? So maybe they won't do it again until they launch new races

Unfortunatley I was not playing when the first power of 2 was offered. Can someone explain just what was the power of 2? did you get a break on pricing of a second account or what?

Everytime this topic comes up, CCP says
" We have no plans to introduce it again anytime in the near future. But maybe someday"
So I wouldn't count on it.
And like many others, I'm not sure my marriage can handle another account anyway. ;) ___________________________________________ The deeper you stick it in your vein, the deeper the thoughts there's no more pain. ___________________________________________

It's been done twice, I believe. Once since I've been playing, that time in celebration of the new character races. (They knew existing players might want to try them out.) The EVE^2 promo works like this: If you have an existing account, you can buy a second account with six months of play-time for $50 or $60 (can't remember which). Anyway, it works out to about $10 per month and no setup fee on the extra account, though once that time is up, it is subject to the normal billing procedures. Had I had the money back then, I would have sprung for it, just to have a useful hauling/logistics alt, if nothing else.

The first Power of 2 promotion was intended to be a one-time deal. With the introduction of Bloodlines, we offered the promotion again because it gave players a chance to experiment with the new bloodlines. Are there plans for a third offer? Not at this time, but there might be in the future, mostly dependent on game content.
If you are looking for a reduction in your subscription rates, consider paying for your account for longer periods of time. There are price breaks for 3, 6 and 12 month subscriptions.
