Hi,
Is it possible to have a list of all the skills that affect shield boosters?
1) skill to reduce energy grid req for boosters 2) skill to reduce CPU need of boosters 3) skill to reduce CAP consumpsion of boosters 4) skill to get more shield HP boost from it (without using amplifier modules) 5) etc.
Thanks in advance

afaik, shield compensation is the only one that affects shield boosters. -2% bonus to cap usage.

But he is asking for shield boosters. I'm pretty sure shield upgrades does not cover shield boosters.

Hmm, shield boosters, you say?

This one understood it.

This one didn't.
Edit: Damn you Inen.

Edited by: Haege Mon on 11/10/2006 05:03:29 I am asking because there is something I do not understand.
I currently have a Cyclone. I fit a shield booster I in it, which gives 160 shield hp for 160 energy by default
But when i fit my setup in QuickFit, I see that the booster now gives 149.04 shield hp (less than it is supposed to give) for 156.8 cap activation cost.
My skills:
Battlecruiser level 2 Shield compensation level 1 shield uprades level 3
Any idea what is nerfing my shield booster?
(co-processor and power diagnostic system on low, large shield extender, photon scattering field, 10mn MWD, and the large shield booster on med.)

An additional note,
Battlecruiser skill (+7.5% shield boosting) at level 2 should give me +15%... so 160 shield hp boost should become 184.
Instead it is 149.04... which is actually lower than the default boosting value. Where did the 34.96 hp boost go? I can find no explanation.

That is weird. Are you sure you do not have capcitor power relays equipped?

Quickfit is a 3rd party program that has some bugs. Its usually correct, but the best way to make sure it to calculate the numbers yourself. If you're getting different results, chances are you've entered it wrong or something is buggy.

One of your "power diagnostic systems" is a cap relay.

I had relays in QuickFit yesterday then changed them to PDS. I guess the old numbers were still displaying.
I tried again now and everything works fine, I get 184 shield boost.
Thanks everybody.
