Hey there,
Just visited one of our corp POS's and 3 of the turrets have run dry.
So the only course of thinking is that someone got too close and got shot at, I would think.
But a total of 16,000 rounds seems like one hell of an amount, I mean thats not being shot at that's several ships being obliterated.
Are you supposed to get an EVEmail if your POS gets Agro'd or engages for any reason.
This seems strange. Those with a better comprehension of this matter please clarify.
Thankys
-Ry-
Any help would be good.

You do get an EVEmail if the POS kills anyone. It's been so long since I've been shot at though that I don't remember if you get a notice if anyone is taking pot-shots at it. ---- AUS Corp Lead Megalomanic |

you do get mail, both for an attack, and a kill (most of the time)

Some clown was orbiting your POS at close range in a frigate with a MWD running. Guns had no chance of tracking well enough to ever hit him. Slap on a pair of webbers, and at least one small turret if it's not already there, on the POS and put a stop to that sillyness.

Already have small turrets, missiles etc.
Almost seems like an Anomaly <-- that is the wrong spelling and I know it.

Well...POS will mail you in one of three cases.
1) Someone shoots it. 2) It kills someone. 3) it's hungry.
Considering what you have told us in the tread one of two things happened.
1) The frigate MWD trick like I said before. 2) Someone from inside your own corp jacked all the ammo from the turrets.

What about a ship or ships that can tank your pos sat there getting hit a lot to use up your ammo. No shooting at the pos and no dying.
Also possible is that you never put ammo in. Mistakes do happen. |

Hmmmm, I've had this happen, though I thought I'd missed loading them when I'd anchored/onlined them.
Same thing, 3 turrets (railguns) loaded, came back next day and they were empty - no mails, no damage and no cans floating in space.
Seems the turrets were just hungry

Whatever the reason for your gun running dry (except a corp mates taking the ammo), you should put a webby module and a warp scrambler module.
Then it's like fishing, just wait.
A POS can pay for itself depending where it is. I simply could'nt tell you how much stuff I got from people 'exploring' my POS. I got a lot of tech 2 stuff including Covert Ops cloak 2. Only thing is that you need to see the mail and get there before the can pop.
I hope your CT is set to attack anything you don't have good corp standing to, so you can protect your friends. |

when you load ammo into the gun originally at the tick, the ammo 'disappears' i think it gets loaded into the gun. so i bet the guns are not out of ammo, its just 'loaded' and not in the ammo storage on the gun.
take a gun offline and wait for your pos to tick. see if the ammo 'reappears'
