I really enjoy Eve online but competing with other players means having skillpoints. I just Subscribed for 1 year and i am looking forward to playing the game in about 1 years time.(ok thats a white lie im playing already but i wont be able to placy efficiently for some time) What i would like to see CCP implement is a system whereby i can pay for that 1 year of subscription time but receive it all in one day(the skillpoints) I would need a new subscription to play tommorow but i get all the skillpoints right now.
This would encourage newwer players to join in and play with the vets and prevents people becomming disenfranchised with the game due to the long wait for training. (which just seems like a bit of a bore tbh.)
How about implementing a system whereby you get 30d worth of skillpoints for one plex?
No one can loose through this system.
How about it CCP, Skillpoints for Plex. |

Unfortunatley this is impractical as there is currently no system for re-naming the character to my liking.

You can buy a a legal booster adding +19 to all your attributes for faster training but it only works for the first month. Forgot how it is called, check the booster market section for offers. |

The missing possibility to rename the character is sure a huge loss, I agree. Eve is a poorer place as you are not allowed to find another outstanding name like Snakebyte Jack. |

have no real interest on playing the wallet game in mmo's its a terrible mechanic pay2win and the whole gimme everything now because i have money ready, it belongs in facebook and browser games where people can just have everything on day 1, the ways ccp allow you to buy chars and plex is pretty unique and is actually pretty good, the idea about changing names is to give chars history which they will always have, but that is as far as i would ever go with this, if you dont intend to play the game for the long haul then check out farmville i believe they like money for stuffs.
cant play for a year? so what you gonna skill up for a year then what? log in and be just as terrible as you were when you had this silly idea

Competing with other players means getting out there, jumping in the fray and doing the thing, whatever the "thing" is, enjoying your wins and learning from your losses.
It also means competing with other players with other players.

You are probably missing the point of the game if you think that your enjoyment is limited by your toon's SP.
In my mind, the only plex for SP deal which would be even remotely acceptable would be one where players can retrospectively fill the gaps in their subscription history. i.e. the amount of SP you can buy is limited to the amount of time your account was dormant. You could only ever advance to a level in line with a toon the same age as yours, never higher. Anything else would be pay to win.
Plus, the idea of being able to sign up, spend a boatload of cash and have anything you want would be quite likely the best way to make EVE as boring as hell. |
