There I was,there I was,*dramatic pause*in the Congo.
Err no it was 0.0 actually.
Strange things occur in 0.0 apparently. These are a few NoOb experiences I have had, have you had any?
People don't speak much in local if at all. When you greet someone, there will be a disbelieving/suspicious silence....you will then get paranoid.
Ask someone what Alliance they are in,in a polite manner. They may start blinking red...
They communicate with strange symbols like /0,and <0>.
People will see you(a noob) and say "WTH are you doing in 0.0 Soporo??." "Making big rocks into small ones."I say... *suspicious silence for an answer*
You will see strange and wonderfull Ores with enticing names, you will begin mining these wondrous rocks.
You will die by the harsh hands of ridiculously powerfull rats, unable to flee.
You will die by the harsh hands of callous, bored tools who have no interest in your Ores.
You will become EXPERT at Instas(bookmarks),you will shamelessly flee at any given strange sight or sound or for nothing at all.
You will, eventually, make a couple of friends.
You will approach a strange station in space hesitantly and be shocked to know that you must pay HOW MUCH?!? to get docked.?!?
You will never again complain about spending 12,000.00 ISK on a Shuttle.
You will examine the market and begin plotting your rise to riches.
You will,after 3 tries and 3 poddings,bring 18,000 Light Missiles to a staion in 0.0 and recoup your losses...somehow.
You will learn about Jump Clones.Life gets easier.
People will assume you know the 327 different Corps in the 13 alliances in the area, and the 752 unspoken agreements, and every strange abbreviation.
NBSI is NOT your friend.(Not Blue Shoot on Sight!)
All in all, unless a war is going on nearby, and you have made some friends,it seems a damn sight easier than Low Sec.
What else?

Things that normally cost 5k in empire cost 300k
The tech 2 version of something is actually cheaper than the tech 1 version
People never stop wanting to kill you
You would die to have a ship without a 100000000000% markup
Speaking of dying, not many medical facilities
Missions ump 'runners' would die out here

hopefully, you will learn to put ONE (1) space after a comma (,) and TWO (2) spaces after a period (.) or end punctuation (?, !, and perhaps ...).

Flumox - too much cheese, too much constipation. Both in your body and your grammar nits.
Change name to flatulence may be in order.
She's got a great post. Don't fart it up.

There continues to be lively debate on the subject of spacing after a full stop, but most modern typesetters, designers, and desktop publishers use only one space after a period, as do most mainstream publishers of books and journals.
To the OP: Nice mini write-up of the 0.0 experience. I remember when I first went to 0.0 and frantically sped to a station to escape some locals who seemed strangely obsessed with my presence. Quick! Dock! You want how many ISK to dock? Argh!

When following an imcomplete bm set into 0.0, don't expect m0o to stop chasing you before your bms run out.
Hmmm, been a while since I first stepped into 0.0, prolly just the name of who's chasing you that has changed tho.

Do you do that sort of thing on a regular basis? Sucks to be you then I suppose. Critiquing peoples grammar in Posts on a freekin multinational MMO has GOT to be pretty high on the looohooohooser(John Cary voice) factor scale.
Thanks for all the positive comments everyone.
