There was an event in Isikesu today... well-run, good job to everyone involved. But one problem... the event involved attacking ISD-flown ships (by order of the ISD character who hired us). Of course he had assured us that Concord would not get involved, so I was kind of surprised to see the "are you sure you want to do this and have Concord destroy your ship?" message appear.
So end result, I'm afraid to fire because I don't know if it's a bug or not. Yes, he'd said it was safe... but people make mistakes, and the aggression flags might not be set right. By the time I finally get attacked and (still seeing the message) decide to say "screw it, they'll HAVE to reimburse me if I die" and shoot, an easy fight has turned into a mess with one pilot dead, and me warping out with heavy damage and missing half the fight.
So it's obvious there's a way of turning off Concord high-sec for events. But could you please turn it off completely, and remove the misleading message?

There is a little box that you can check that says "do not show me this message again"
Also, Concord never interferes if an event actor is involved.

Yes, I know, but removing that is suicide in high-sec. The message isn't the problem, I WANT to see it if I'm about to accidentally do something that will get me killed. The problem is having one thing saying "it's ok", while the other one says "DO IT AND DIE." To me, that looks a lot like "the event organizer made a mistake, and I'm not flagged properly".

Yes, I know that. Quote: In theory.
but having the message there makes it look like there's an error in the system. Mistakes can happen, maybe somebody's "event actor" tag isn't set correctly. It would be much more reassuring if the window never appeared, then it would be very clear that things are going as they should.

I got that message as well, but choose to believe the ISD actor. Got my Moa shot up by the ISD target escorts. So got Raven and popped them.
We had fun.

The warning is part of game mechanics and also a good warning to have around. However if one event character tells you that you can shoot another event character then don't worry about CONCORD showing up.
You might however later see things such as standing losses etc if you decide to trim your guns on say a pilot from Caldari Navy or CONCORD.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it last night. :)

This was also my first event, only being in the game 3 months. It was fun, especially watching the banter between the event characters in local. Other than the people in our gang no one in the system had any idea what was going on, so some of the comments in local were pretty interesting. Note to self for next time: Let the Battleships start shooting first, and maybe you'll get to keep your Caracal and not be chasing pods in an Ibis
