I know being modern times alot of places take credit cards, but i know there are still places that don't...so how much cash should i expect to need for the 7 days i'll be in Iceland? (leaving in the morning, quick responses would be great) |

You won't need any cash at all. Everywhere in Iceland takes and expects card, when you go to the bar to buy a beer they expect card, the laundromat for breakfast - card, nonnis for bacon - card. These are the only things you pay for in Iceland. Sometimes even the beer is free. |

To echo Chiimera's comments I have not yet had the need to spend cash at all... but I have ended up with cash somehow. I think I nodded to some Icelandic question while buying something and they gave me a cashback.
In fact, I'm trying to get rid of the cash because it is really inconvenient to carry around what feels like kilograms of worthless 10 krona coins in a country where things costs thousands and hundreds of thousands of ISK. |

Your cashback was most likely a refund on VAT :P |

Okay so this year i brought cash (just in case) and used it on the odd taxi ride here and there. Do taxis take card? usually there is mastercard logos so i wasn't sure
