I'm not sure who's doing it, but somebody dropped hundreds of Amarr shuttles outside of Jita 4-4 and proceeded to blow them up. It was a pretty amazing sight, though it lagged the hell out of Jita and I got disconnected twice.
It was still going on at the time of posting this, though the entire system is running super slow with lag.
I did manage to get a few screenshots: http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/891/jita.jpg |

I salvaged 3 of them, ended up with 4 Scrap Metal in total. So I don't think so. |

I remember plotting with a corpie back in the day to use a super tanked industrial as a shuttle deployment system in fleet battles so the enemy fleet would have shuttle spam in the overview and scramble to remove them from it while we proceeded to tear into them.
We almost did it, too... |

I did a similar thing outside Rens once with 300 Min shuttles.
I had a stack of trit that I didn't know what to do with, so... Shuttles!
What is not nice is when it happens on the test server, with POS modules.

if CCP has decided that exploding ships do cause a disruption in the warp time continuum, how could possible feedback delays or a diruption to the controls to your pod be considered an exploit?! it must be there for a reason!
also, there can be no exploits in eve based on game mechanics by definition. anything that might be considered an exploit still works as implemented by CCP - and that has always been by design. if you want an "exploit" fixed, force CCP to change the underlying game mechanics.
eve is a programmed environment, anything that i can do in there, i can do, because game designers allowed it to happen. if you are not supposed to do certain things, you have to change the behavior and rules inside the environent. no more, no less.
imagine someone said "you will get banned for shooting back at concord". or, in early days, "you can tank concord, but doing so is not allowed, you need to let them destroy you".
just a single idea: how about changing the rate at which ships can be jettisoned? like 1 ship per per xxx seconds only? makes it far more tiresome to prepare a setup manually first place. and anyone can steal the shuttles within the next hour. check the moderated little ideas/10000 papercuts/low hanging fruit article! comment, bump(!) and like what you like: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Little_things_and_ideas_-_low_hanging_fruit_-_10000_papercuts |

Probably trying to crash the node. If it's really screwing with the system /petition it and some GM will eventually pop in and remove the wrecks. |

If it's kicking people offline, and it's done deliberately in an attempt to disrupt play, it violates the EULA and the TOS:
Quote: 1.You may not take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the System.
and
Quote: You may not do anything that interferes with the ability of other EVE Online subscribers to enjoy the game or web site in accordance with its rules. This includes, but is not limited to, making inappropriate use of any public channels within the game and/or intentionally creating excessive latency (lag) by dumping cargo containers, corpses or other items in the game world.
(emphasis added)

Sorry, but no. If I break the law, the judge isn't going to accept that I only stole the cashbox because the shop owner forgot to activate the security system. Regardless of the shop's crappy security, I still entered the shop with the intent of committing a criminal act. |

i had been merely provocatively pointing out that it would be more elegant and wise to engineer the system to protect against possible unintended usage first place. any deemed "violation" will always lead to controversy, at which point you have overstepped the line, and allows for grey zones in the game. "some" usage might be considered ok and will also be not detected or hard to proove. while exaggerating you could even argue fleet battles should be forbidden because they cause lag to traders and miners. and they also drop cargo when dying.
i do have discussions in mind on war dec shields, how current game mechanics are used to clean off war decs, well-timed corp change in space to get legal targets, and other "exploits" ... in my humble and naive view as a (non-CCP) dev in 99% of times there is an implemention to make the system work as intended. saying that i do not know, what actually is intended, but CCP should know. and clearly state in terms of goals what should and should not be possible. and any exploit would then clearly show a discrepancy between the implementation and defined rules or reveal flaws in the design process. many discussions would not be had if those things got harmonized first place or faster. check the moderated little ideas/10000 papercuts/low hanging fruit article! comment, bump(!) and like what you like: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Little_things_and_ideas_-_low_hanging_fruit_-_10000_papercuts |
