I noticed every planetary system in K-Space of EVE is single star. With the new PBR engine the light of the star effects how to colors and materials are rendered on the objects in space. With multiple stars in a system the distance would change the visual appearance of said objects.
Think main sequence yellow star orbiting a red giant at 1 AU. Depending on where in the system the amount of light from the yellow star would change.
Also, I think having the 'war the star (sun)' being responded to with 'what one?'.
Opinions?
I like making things explode.

It sounds like it adds additional strain to video processes, confuses people, and adds no enhancements to actual gameplay. |

I for one, support this idea. Most star systems IRL are actually binary or triple-star systems, Alpha Centauri being a prime example of the latter. Having multiple stars in the system would not only be graphically pleasing and interesting, it'd be accurate. |

V5++ and PBR rendering does not already? Old hardware is old.

Having multiple stars in the system would not only be graphically pleasing and interesting, it'd be accurate. and then you realize they have to mvoe around objects already existing in systems now to populate these systems (namely GATES), and that to keep the game from both looking silly and cluttered, they would have to have at least SOME modicum of realism with it, meaning stars a light year apart in the "same system", meaning that 10 minute warp from gate to gate is now more like 3 hours, and thats without TiDi |

Easy Lore reason, only single star systems can support stable WH's and therefore have gates. |

Confusing people usually adds additional game play :D
"Everyone warp to the sun, warp to the sun" "Uh.. fc.. which one"
I can see fleets getting split up on accident in glorious lolz, and hopefully a the wrong sun has some reds on it
I have to support the general idea though, I was running around null the other day for fun, and one system to the next, theres not a whole lot of space variation. It'd be nice to see some change ups |

Worst case it could just be a different texturing. Don't even need to add another object, just have the image appear to be two instead of one. Of course it wouldnt be a huge distance from each other as suggested (unless the single object size is massively increased). Maybe I'm ignorant on how that works. I don't know. |

Essentially two black holes could work exactly the same way or any group of massive objects. |
