Decided to do some research on the Artemis Tyrannos and Apollo Tyrannos, curious to see if there were any interesting numbers that would pop up. Unfortunately, the only thing that was conclusive from that was that Apollo seems to be a bit more combative and has all of the known Capsuleer kills (and, by assuming, reapings..)
So, in an effort to test a theory, I looked into those Capsuleer kills to see if there were any commonalities. And there were. They all had implants of some kind, whether simple learning augmentations or combat augments.
Naturally, I wanted to make sure this wasn't some kind of fluke so I decided to find and trail a Drifter in my pod and found an Artemis Tyrannos. I got close.
Really close.
For the duration of an hour I followed the Drifter, an Artemis Tyrannos, and confirmed that it did not engage in hostilities toward me. Whether this is because my clone didn't have valuable implants or simply because the Artemis Tyrannos does not engage in hostilities against capsuleers... I have no idea. All I know is that it did not attack me and seemed content to let me fly around in my capsule and observe it.
What I learned is that it only ever followed a simple, coordinated path - it aligned with the Unidentified Wormhole in the area and when it wasn't doing that it was creeping up on the Observatory. Once within an -INCREDIBLY- close distance it began to use a laser of some sort to saw away at the Observatory with no real success seen.
Eventually, four Circadian Seekers arrived and I felt that perhaps this was the end of the journey... That wasn't the case either. They simply approached, ever-so-slowly, and completely ignored me as well.
Eventually however they all warped away and I had to struggle to find them. I couldn't find the seekers but I did trace the Drifter back to the Wormhole... and that's when I noticed something peculiar...
A clicking sound (player note: didn't realize the video was that long. Just listen for the clicking, then skip to 4:14. I'll work on making a cut version later for sanity). Occasional, but very distinct. Like an insect chirp, in a way...
At first I thought it was the Drifter, trying to communicate a signal through the wormhole for.. Access, perhaps. But as the drifter creeped slowly toward it and eventually disappeared through, I kept hearing that same clicking.
Emanating from the Wormhole itself.

What signal? Also, I've observed that none of them tend to engage unless you violate a certain set of restrictions. Approaching the Unknown wormhole being one of them. Firing on them another.
I think this line of research could be useful, especially if we find one or another of the Drifter pilots has a different set of Rules of Engagement (RoE hence-forth) than another, or is only interested in implanted clones.
