I was unclear about the Game time Offer's description stating:
As announced at Fanfest, existing skinned ships you own will be turned into a basic ship and a permanent skin license once the new SKINs system is deployed. Similarly any blueprint copies for skinned ships such as the ones included in the offer will become permanent skin licenses. Permanent skin licenses can be applied to your character allowing you to switch to that particular skin at any point.

Suppose I purchase an "Incursus Innerzone Shipping 1run BP" from the Eve Store, and whenever skins gets on tq it will become a permanent license on my character as stated above. Will switching to my "Innerzone Shipping" skin be only available for any active Incursus I have or would all my ships have the option of a "IZS" skin upon applying the license?

I originally thought they were releasing a basic NPC corp skin that you could then use on all ships that share the same race as the corp the skin is from.
But at fanfest it looks more like you buy a skin for each ship type. Maybe both systems will be available at some point but it looks like for now if you buy an Incursus skin it will just be usable on an Incursus once the new system is in place. |

Its not a bad thing either way, also does "Skinned Ships" they are referring to also include the pirate "edition" ones that were released as loot drops?

I am wondering if some of the limited ships out there would be changed into a skin.
Example my first ship was a Intaki destroyer that came with the copy of eve that I bought. Once I got another destroyer and realized that the intake one could not be replaced I mothballed it.

The way the current skin mechanics has been proposed is that you'll activate a skin and can then use it anytime for any applicable ship(s). The skin doesn't stay with the ship - it stays with the character (and thus can't be lost).

I believe that CCP has indicated that the limited ships will remain "unique" as ships and not skins.
I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Wrong , CCP had indicated and confirmed multiple times that limited ships will become "limited" permanent skins .

I was under the impression that in addition to the EvE store, they also released pirate BPC drops like "Thukker edition Thrasher" would now become 1 stock thrasher and a Thukker skin license. But ships that are listed under special edition and have a skin would not become a regular ship since their actual stats are not equal, ex: innerzone shipping Imicus has a skin but also has a unique salvaging bonus, this would not be a ship you could acquire a skin license from.
I very doubtful that if I buy a Serpentis Catalyst it's an easy Serpentis skin on ALL ships. Which is why I figured they kept the skins (while being bound to character) tied to that specific hull and it's variants [ if you have 100 T1,T2 catalysts, you have a Serpentis skin option on every single one ]

they remove the runs so they wont create 15 versions of the exact same ship , so its 1 ship and 15 colors . Different ship stats = different ships . Serpentis catalyst is just a skin .
Seems odd but thats what they confirmed multiple times , did you check unique skined ships price ? They went like 400% increase , ALL of them . Quafe megatron quafe catalyst last fanfest haulers , victory edition rattlesnake .
the only question is what will happen with drops from pirates , it makes sense now that they are a consumable item , but wont be so after , because they supply will be infinite and the demand 0 . I guess that somehow will change , thats the only thing they didnt said .

sorry checked again youre reply , yes of course if you have a dominix quafe skin its DOMINIX only . For other hulls you need the other skins/ship/bpc .
