Just tried the bonus room solo with pretty high exp res and decent res in all other areas and initially i was tanking fine but then i couldnt keep up with the dmg without running out of cap. Just wondered what fitting i should try for this bonus stage? i have sone faction equipment.

well to reccomend modules we'd have to know the ship and setup to begin with, so why don't you tell us what you're running?

Eigter have a mate that can regen your shield to follow you,or use caps is another option.

I keep doing it with a friend tanking it in his logistics cruiser. However were stupid enough to armor tank it. Wich obviously is a bad idea from start to end. In this scenario it takes 3 ships. 1 tanker, 1 support and 1 all out damage dealer.

sorry was in a raven 6 arby cruise 2 sansha heavy nos 1 gist b type x-large sb, 1 dread boost amp, 2 dread invuls 2 pith b type exp 2 pdu t2, 3 dread bcus
prob had far to much exp res 94.5% with that setup, i have a full set of pith b types, any suggestions?

I do that solo in a Raven (no not Navy) with tech II tank. Thats basically 4 x shield hardners, large shield booster + amp. 2 PDS. Possible but tricky. I basically had to shield boost keeping the shield around the optimal 30% mark. Even then it was down to 8%. Use 2 x L Nos to keep your cap up, even on smaller frigs it helps.
The storage facility has really rubbish loot now. ------------------------------------------------

Here is how i use to run AE bonus in CNR.
My setup as follow
Gist B-Type XL, 2x DG inv, 1x DG shield boost amp or better, 2x Cap recharger t2. 2x Page Cap flux Coils, 1x PDS T2 OR 1x True Sansha PDS for T2 Torp Lunchers, 2x DG BCU
Idealy a low-grade cystal set.
Skill need to pull this off. Energy Management lvl5 Energy System Operation lvl5 Shield Compensation lvl5 Setup above allow you to shield tank forever, with the skill above.
Bonus area does a lot of diffrent damage so best to have overall damage protection. Now the key to this as soon as you warp in, start moving away from the fleet. Take out the BC first, CNR should be able todo this two rounds with cruise missiles, when all the BC are dead start on the destroyers, use your drones to attack the destroys as you finnish of the BC.
Then take out BS then take out the turrets last.

So long as you don't run out of cap (and can keep your gist-b running non-stop) it's fine. Initially you'll not quite be able to tank the damage but so long as you take a few out fast you'll soon be able to stop running the booster non-stop. Takes me a while as can't use cruise yet and dont have the grid/cpu to mount a full rack of sieges.
Everything in area aggros at same time - so once i'm in and aggroed the lot I just sit still. Then loot-collecting alt comes in behind and drops off extra cap boost charge 800s by me. Then it's just run the Gisti B-type nonstop and inject cap charges as needed plus pick more up from can if/when you need them.
My mediums are: Gistsi B Type XL booster, faction SBA (can't remember which offhand), 2 DG invulns, Gist b-type Explosive hardener, electromagnetic cap boost injector (no point having better for missions). Lows: Named Damage Control, 3 BCS 2, 1 co-processor (have to fit this to get my weapons mounted due to low skills). If I used domination sieges instead of DG then could fit a PDS 2 here - but PDS doesnt give more damage and dont need more cap/tank. Could do with upgrading my BCS to DG or better I guess.

Was gonna say - Storage Facility? Lott in AE bonus area is in Angels Retirement Home (11th tier overssers stash) and Angels Battlestation (takes ages to kill, gives 30k torpedos, 20 Ogre Is, some large ammo and a few mods - which occasionally includes a Domination item).

well im still waiting for my cnr offer from my agent so im still in a normal raven, i was taking out the sentry guns and missile lacuhers and tanking ok. I can pop the bc's in 2 vollys as i have decent cruise skills. poor torp skills and i cant use t2 missiles yet. I think i might just bring a friend till i can max out those skills u mentioned and my cow of an agent finally offers me a cnr instead of 2 navy caras like today. i found as they got close the dps i was getting shot up but i didnt have my log set to 10000 entrys so im not sure what was hitting me so hard, it wasnt the sentrys.

Not trying to be a smart alec, but i'll think you'll find it was everything that was hitting you hard. There's really not much reprieve by killing certain units first, there's just a *lot* of dmg. ----------------- One word,, emo,,,

The Destroyers do a lot of thermal damage, doesnĘt take them long to catch up with you.

There is most definately a reprieve from kill certain units first. Not the ones that were mentioned above either :)
I fly a Raven and harden against explosive 3x, kinetic 1x. When I zone in I kill:
1. Cruise Missile Turrents (Thermal Damage - Missile) 2. Gist Domination Saint (Thermal Damage - Turret) 3. Gistum Domination Centurion (EM - Turret)
The Cruise Missile Turrents hurt a lot and if you can get them down and still have cap it is easy after that.
That said, with the new changes and Range it is even easier. Assuming that you get hte Cruise missle launchers taken care of.

Sorry for off topic..but yeah! Whats up with the bonus area of Guristas Ganza? have looted the storage facillity in the bonus area twice this week and the best loot I got was a heat disapation feild I????
I have only just got to the point of being able to do the last area of the Ganza and was looking forward to some half decent loot! but just got more crap!
Can someone enlighten me as to the approximate frequency of faction drops from those storage facillities?

its easier to do with a friend cos dps from full agro is massive comparable to ge5 after u shot sentries :) so if 1 of u gets sentries on warpin and other starts the rest it can go much smoother. there're a lot of small ships so gd frig killer and bs mite be ideal. energy transfer wouldnt hurt just in case if bs needs help with cap.if u still want to do it solo then u need gd booster, gd amp or 2, expl res in the 90's and bunch of cap modes but be prepered for lausy reward thats y most ppl skip it.

well finally did the bonus stage solo and i know what does the real dmg, and ur not gonna belive it but its the destroyers, yes the destroyers, coz theres a hell of a lot of them and they dont do exp dmg. I warped in took out a few cruise sentrys and sentry IIIs while moving away from the pack, i then popped the destroyers and set my drones on the 3 frigs, then i could tank fine, popped the bc's then the cruisers then the 5 bs's and last the sentrys. Once i was onto the bs's i turned round and headed toward the retiremnt home.

wasnt worth it and just got my navy rven at last and got angel extrav again, did bonus stage and agin loot was crap, and now my agent has offered me it again lol. Apparently the battle station does drop faction loot sometimes so gonna do it a few more times, bountys are nice though. Still cant belive the destroyers screwed my tank lol

well just did this bonus room again, named the can from the battle station as i didnt have time to pick it up. last time i named a can it stayed around after dt so hopefully i will finally get a nice drop.
Anyway did areas 1-5 in 70 minutes which i was rather proud of and the bonus room in about 30 mins including blowing the structures up some decent isk potential that mish

nope can went wit dt so not sure what was in it :( but i used 7 cruise 1 sansha nos, 1 gist b xl, 1 pith b amp, 2 dread invuls 2 pith b exp hardeners and 3 dread bcus and 2 t2 pdus, yes its expensive, i killed the cruise lacuhers first then the destroyers then the cruisers and bc's, killed 1-2 gun IIIs, then killed the bs's starting with the saints, lastly killed the rest of sentrys

My setup for AE L4 bonus stage:
Caldari Navy Raven with 7 x Arby Torps, 1 tractor beam (not enough CPU to use a TS Heavy Nos DG Invulnerability field, T2 Explosive hardener, T2 Kinetic hardener, 2 x DG booster amp, Gist B-type Xlarge booster 5 x PDS II med drones - mix of Valkyries and Vespas
With this setup I can tank for 5 minutes continuously, so it's got a lot of boosting capability. However the damage is insane in AE bonus stage, so what I do is warp into the bonus room, and fly directly away from the rats. I target the 3 cruise missile batteries and take them out with the torps, then take out all the destroyers, then the BS's, then the battle cruisers. While killing rats I'm VERY carefully watching shield and cap levels, usually I don't fall below 20% cap and 45% shields. I normally do AE completely in around 2 hours.
Once I've cleaned out the rats I blow up the retirement home and the battlestation....then close the mission and go back (to a bookmark previously set) to pick up the loot. 30k of bane torps and 20 Ogres may not seem all that good for loot, but it melts down nicely to a fair amount of mins. The 11th tier overseers effects fetch 6.3mil, so this bonus room really is the icing on the cake.
