I'm not sure if this is the right place to bring this up, but I had an idea of a slighty roleplayish corp.
A growing gang of psychos (could be alts, and of course newbies) who attack anyone in sight, basically. No matter the fitting or skills, just pure insanity. Fleet's would try to run without an fc (of course some directions would be needed to form it and "swarm" places).
I'm kind of thinking about the psychos in Borderlands...
This corp would be a fun starting point for newbs who hesitate to engage in pvp, and would be a complete sidestep from the "you have to learn skills for 60 weeks before you can fly anything" -mentality. If you can fit a gun and point with a mouse, that's enough.
What do you think? Would it work? Funding could be a problem I guess. And without members this corp is pointless (as is any). It could be fun to have this "force of nature" -type corp roaming around null, making everybody's life just a tad more difficult (or being a nuisance lol).
Has someone tried this already?
Thanks for reading! :)

Yeah. I think in practise it wouldn't really work as the point of psycho is to be suicidal and therefore dangerous. That's not really a thing that can happen in Eve. :) It would be a silly massacre every single time.
But it's a funny thought that there would be a group like that, if they could do any damage that is. But even if it'd were a really big group, it'd just get smashed in the face without skills, proper ship fittings and real command. |

So basically, pay a subscription to CCP to act like a belt rat.
Post on the Eve-o forums with a Goonswarm Federation character that drinking bleach is bad for you, and 20 forum warriors will hospitalise themselves trying to prove you wrong.

Well, that wasn't the idea, originally. Belt rats don't roam. :) Or pose any kind of emergent threat unless you fly in a swarm of them. But as said, this kind of "posse" wouldn't really pose any kind of threat either and would therefore be kind of pointless.
In Eve anarchy just wouldn't work.To be effective, you need those properly commanded fleets with skilled (irl and books) pilots. So that idea didn't fly far. :)
I'm not sure if my idea was delivered in any kind of effective manner as english isn't my first language. :D

Well I normally ignore pirate crap, but I like Borderlands :) And the crazies and psychos are an interesting idea.
A new ramming ship could be introduced into EVE, some cruiser type vessel that does 150000 raw omni damage. Limited to 0.0 and low sec only. No point having it in hi sec :) 1 hi slot for a smartbomb that detonates upon impact with a radius of 2500m, striking only the ship, xx number of slots for med and low to give it some tank and agility, depending on faction type.
The costs should be considerate
20-30 of these would do some crowd control on caps and supers.

You seem to think anarchy equates to violent chaos. Violent chaos only happens where rule of law is weak but there is plenty of food / fuel to burn on violence. When the food / fuel runs low, there's less raiding and breaking, it's just not feasible. Real anarchy requires common sense and co-operation, nobody deals with reavers and everybody bands against them. Eventually the bandits organise and become the law of the land, or they are absorbed into the community, anarchistic or not. Your psychos would be farmed relentlessly for a few weeks and they would get sick of it. Now a really massive swarm of noobships, which can be fitted T2 now, could do some things, but you'd hit the limits of that pretty quick too. Remember kids, extremes are where you go when you run out of ideas, or never had any. |

Yeah, I had a very poor choice of words there. I guess I was thinking more in the lines of chaos and chaotic fleets, with no proper FC.
The NPSI fleets have the same ideology in the sense of embracing newbs and fast action. I've tried to figure out how to get rid of the mentality that Eve is made for the vets and a newb will be newb for years, as you need ridiculous amounts of SP and ISK to make a difference.
I looked at Borderlands and the new trailer of Mad Max and it came to me that could this kind of people exist in Eve too? Perhaps they'd be capsuleers gone mad by the process of becoming one, or something like that. Of course such a corp would need a certain amount of control, as keeping the corp in it's theme would need it.
There would be leaders, but they would be more like these tribal figures, wanting blood or whatever :D. They would fly Hulks armed with whatever, filled with corpses etc, surrounded by small ships, newbs and bloodthirsty vets, wanting to vent off some steam :). The surrounding corps could try to persuade them to do as they need, but there would always be this crazyness and unpredictability to them. Who wouldn't want to be the leader of such a horde?
Well you get the idea.
It could be done, but I'm guessing It'd need a lot of interested players to really work. And the newbs would jump the boat as they would be slaughtered again and again. They would solely operate on null, since being a newb in a playercorp when that corp gets wardecced can be a waste of freaking time and isk, not to mention motivation. But there's nothing wrong to get you ass kicked, if that's how you want to play the game. You might see the difference there. The ships would have crappy fittings, but then again, even nullsec is full of ships flying with crappy fits, so I guess some kills could be had even with a small gang. If someone considers that they don't want to cause anybody to hate them, they could just join the psychos with an alt and don't give a ***.
Thanks, btw for your answers! Nice to know I'm not the only one with an interest on silly ideas. :D

You don't really need a reason to form a corp, fly into 0.0, and shoot everything too slow to get away. Hell, that's how goons got started in Syndicate back in the day. |

Bingo. Best roams I go on are kitchen sink, and just shoots anything not blue. Pick a route, everyone ship up, watch intel, and get ready for explosions.
If you like the idea of being reavers, then join (duh) Reavers in CFC, or one of several similar squads in Brave.
Also, you can always live out of NPC null with a small gang. I always enjoyed harassing CFC on my alt in Gurista space back in the day.
