No Dread is ever gonna have to fear a POS again with these changes, POSes need to be upgraded also for these changes, Maybe a 25% boost to CPU and powergird? so more guns can be fitted, or more target selectibilty when it comes to POS warfare, because with the POS hitting whoever it chooices and picks a new target every 30 seconds no dreads should ever die to a POS again, which is retarded....... _________________________________________________________ My First EvE Video Club Seals Not Sandwichs |

Yes, but only because of the lag associated with them.
So, I say good for this boost!

Dread - "Capital ships created for extended sieges of stationary installations."
Seems to me that a POS SHOULD fear a dread. -- The universe is governed by the aggressive use of force. Hows this for a little note! Oh, and YARRRRR!! - Petwraith I prefer the term RAWR - Xorus |

to defend a POS requiers a defending fleet to attack the dread while its being pounded by a POS - this is the way it should be

it works fine, the boosting for dreads or carriers did not change... so all it does is give X amount of time, so its a only a buffer, the pos still will pwn the dread its just a few more sec or a min longer.. besides it always took a fleet to attack a dread that was taking fire from pos to kill one anyway, like others said they only died due to lag or very poor fit

Uh, isn't the reason why dreads don't have to fear PoS's is due to the fact that PoS will target each weapon at random and independant from all of the other weapons? I'm pretty sure Seleene made a post about this a while back.

Dreads tank more. ->POS do more damage. -->BS run away from POS most of the time and find indirect ways to support. --->Less lag at POS. ---->Dreads left all alone with POS w/ only carriers to protect them (&frigs). ----->Dreads get popped by defenders.

This is correct. POS guns usually cycle targets about every 30-40 seconds. The initial warp in on a POS will get ALL the POS guns at once for a few shots and then they start cycling.
However, as has been stated, it's not the job of the POS to kill the dreads solo. It's the defender's job to have a support fleet on hand to assist in the defense.
The HP boost is actually more useful for Carriers and Motherships than dreads, to be honest. Dreads are as safe as they always were from POS guns, but now carriers can actually take a semi-front line role as hospital ships and true combat support.
Word is that POS are going to see some major changes in Kali 2 when things like Constellation Sovereignty and Upgradeable Outposts hit. -
