Hallo,
As i read, it`s nearly all caldari shipa and missles are advised for pve. I`d like to run lvl 3 and lvl 4 missions with minmatar ships (i`m running lvl 2`s atm with rupture) So should a minmatar Tempest do the job with lvl 4 missions? Or is it just so much easier to train up tp raven and some missle skills and do them in such a way?
Thanks.

it's better to get a Typhoon for lvl 3 and lvl 4. I used a Tempest to try at the beginning and i discovered that wasnt a nice idea.. A Tempest requires many more skills to be used in lvl 3-4 A Typhoon with armor tanking setup can do solo all lvl 3 w/o special troubles and nearly all lvl 4. Just remember to study the mission so you will fit the right hardeners and do the compensation skills to improove your hardeners.

be sure to check the forums for each mission posting because sometimes the mission is different. and if the info is wrong it's often the bad way (harder than listed)

I do level 4 missions a lot in my typhoon solo. Yes its hard and very painful at times. do your homework and dont be afraid to run if the times right. Its what Minitar are good at. Run regroup and return for more. Your extra speed can help a lot but the low DPS is a bit of a burden that we must all endure. Typhoon over tempest anytime for missions. Its them little frigs that you have to watch. Kit out to take them down fast this will help you survive if the time should arrives. You will need fairly high skills though to really do any Minitar BS's justice. Caldari are by far the easiest to train for initially but they do become no brainers after a while.

Keep in mind that some of the lvl 4 missions have t2 frigs that can web and warp scram you. You may not be able to run.

You shouldn't have any trouble doing lvl3 missions in a cyclone... but i'm still not convinced that the minmatar BS's are cut out for lvl4 missions

Phoon works like a charme once you can use projectiles, missiles and drones with okay skills along with your tank.
You can replace guns and/or launchers with Nos to support your tank too while you're training up more skills. --*=*=*--
The cause for this is not yet known, but we do have a possible fix in testing. by Sharkbait | 2006.09.20 |
