I just got my crow today. Got the standard fitting with light missiles, and it "works". Ive started training Missile Launcher Operation to lvl 5 and now I'm trying to decide on t2 rockets or missiles. My main concern is keeping my crazy overpriced crow out of NOS and webber range, so for most cases id want to be able to shoot at ~14km. So the builds as i seem them would be:
Rockets: Highs: 3x Rocket Launcher II (Have to wait until Kali to choose either Long Range or High Damage) Mids: 1xMWD, 1x 20k scram, 1x Small Cap Battery OR 1x ship scanner Lows: 2x CPR, and either another CPR (if i go ship scanner) or 1x BCU
Pretty strait forward: if my missile skills don't get my rocket range over 10km then i can use the ship scanner to look for enemy NOS or webber. I can drop the scanner for a Battery and BCU once I got skills correctly. I dont think I'll need a MAPC with Engineering lvl 4. I could probably also drop something in the 4th high slot. Good Rof from t2 launchers combined with the high damage rockets seems like it could *****most Destroyers/cruisers.
Missiles:
High: 3x Standard Missile Launcher 2 (Precision Lights) Mid: 1x MWD, 1x 20km Scram, 1x Small Cap Battery Lows: 2x CPR, 1x MAPC
Pretty strait forward, but the missiles will take longer to train for then the rockets. However precision lights seem like the best anti-frig (or anti inty) weapon I've seen (3000m/s explosion velocity, 20m explosion radius stock). While each missile would hit for a good amount (~150 with Precision kinetic Lights), the dps would just be bffft. I think i would be lucky to get a ROF of 9s with skills and t2.
So what should i do?

And would you reconsider any of that after the HP boost in kali?

Edited by: PartyVaN on 28/10/2006 02:40:03 Okay for those who say missiles, would you mind posting some good setups then (if my missile setup isint good)?
Also what skills do you need to run at MWD, 20km Scram and webber without a battery or any CPR?
oh and I only have like 2 Million sp, but im willing to train for anything if its needed for a good setup.

bolded that part cause I'm gonna reply to that... there's no way to run those permanently without batteries/CPRs, and even with them the MWD and 20km will take some damn good skills...
Yea okay that was just in response to one of the first posters:
Originally by: LeMoose those are crap fits tbh
3x t2 rockets, x 75mm t2 with am ammo
t2 mwd, 20km , web
1 mapc, 200mm tungsten, a small rep or 2x plates. Pwns all intys 1on1
I dont see how you run a t2 MWD and a 20km scram without any CPRs or batteries, much less a 75mm, web and/or small rep.
But in terms of what I need, well, I don't really know what I'll be facing in the field. I'd mostly be playing as the tackler, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't come across other frigs and/or intys that i would end up having to fight against. I can run a MWD and 20k with 2x CPRs and a battery right now. I guess what i need to know is which works better as an in-general weapon: rockets or missiles? or does it not even work like that

My only problem with that is that if i get NOSed then i have to fly off, and if i get webbed, then i better hope they dont have a scram or I'm dead. I think with skills i can get rockets to shoot at least 10km. Maybe I'll figure it out myself like it was suggested.
