Hello everyone.
I'm hoping to begin my manufacturing career soon and would like to make sure I have at least some idea of what I'm doing.
So the question I have is: What is the difference between an original blueprint and an "unlimited run" blue print copy?
Thank you very much in advance for your feedback.
Cheers, Victoria

Original BP you can buy/sell from the market, they can be researched, either mineral effiency (reduces wasted minerals) or production effiency (reduces construction time). Also Originals can be copied to sell or use yourself. The copy's u can now make ur limited licences, which u can set up to a defined maximum. For example turret bpc can have a maximum licence limit of 300.
Now unlimited blueprint copy's cant be researched or be copied. These used to be produced when u copied an original, with no limit on the licences. However, since an old patch a few months ago it was changed to the current "limited" copy system.
All the unlimited copy's floating around are from before the change.
I hope that helps, if not contact me in-game and i'll be more than happy to help

As things stand now, the only difference is that you cannot further research, or make more copies from, an unlimited bpc. You can do both from an original (although you can no longer make the unlimited-license copies, of course.)
As to the future, I personally suspect that unlimited bpc's will be yanked from the game at some point, quite possible with no compensation. Therefore I would say, don't buy unlimited bpcs, and take steps to sell off any that you still own. I stress, this is a personal view; I have seen and heard nothing from any CCP rep to substantiate it. Indeed, others may have solid evidence against it.

Someone from Polaris (yes I know how alot of you trust them) have said that the UBC will not be removed from the game, but they will just begin to fade away as tech 2 comes in soon(tm)
