hi
i am flying amarr cruiser, maller and arbitrator. i have cruiser lvl 5 and can use t2 small laser guns. so i have the possebility to train up to t2 ships and bigger stuff, but i dont want to. i want to train to be uber with t1 cruiser and have maxed the skills that is needed for one ship type. i think it would be more fun if you had the possebility to train to be an excpert on flying interceptor or cruiser or titans (:))
what skills would i need to train up to lvl 5 to be really good. know about mechanic skills, gunnery skills (most of them except big guns) and ofc some electronic and enginering skills. but is there more, i already have most of it on lvl 5 and i just wonder if i have missed something.

To be really good in Amarr Cruisers, you need to train Drones V, Combat Drones V, Drone Interfacing V, Scout Drones V, etc. Lots of drone skills. Then get Tracking Disruptor skills or ECM skills.
And then fly an Arbitrator. The others aren't worth it.

my plan is to get medium (small) pulse and beam spec up to lvl 5 already have drone 5, drone interf 4, drone combat 4... dont know if i will move them up to 5 yet... my thought was to first spend some time on gunnery to train up support gunnery skills to get a bit better stats.

It's a nice goal... the problem is that the Omen and Maller are outclassed by just about every other Tier2/3 Cruiser out there right now. (Possible exception: Moa) If you like the lasers thing, you should definitely train up your gunnery support skills to four or five.. just saying, those two Cruisers aren't so hot right now.

yes i know i have read alot about amarr being a bad race and laser is bad etc etc. but i guess if i start training something els i will just end up with alot of stuff i can do but nothing i can do really good. and when i amd done with something new they have changed amarr and it is a awesome race all of a sudden.
i love laser and will be the ultimate laser user cruiser is the perfect ship for me so fare, easy to fly not to excpensive.
if the arbitrator is the best amarr cruiser i am a bit disapointed, i dont feel like training up to uber drones skill. me want laser (as i said above) so the maller seems like the best ship for me. hopefully i can do some wonders in that one with maxed skills some day...
training now to go up to lvl 4 with all my skills that i need then i will start working on the lvl 5 step with the skills that is needed to be uber first.

Max your gunnery, cap and tank related stuff.
Nice to see people flying what they like and not what is flavor of the month.

thanks for your response! questions tho... web (90%) is it really worth to get a fleeting webber, know that the price is not so high but still. isent a x5 webber a good one to use insteed or what do i earn by using a 90% thingi, how big diffrence is it really?
2 medium armor rep? will it be worth to use so mutch cap on two reppers? doesent cover it and set more recistens insteed like a t2 adaptive plate or something? or set a 1600mm plate insteed of 800mm? and use a cap power relay or a heat sink on the free slot
EDIT: SORRY MODERATORS, SOMETHING WENT WRONG AND I PRESSED MANY TIMES... PLS FIX THIS WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE LIKE THIS :)

Anyways this is my current arbitrator setup(its mainly support, but can solo...kinda) Highs:2 med nos 1 small 1 neuter. Mids:1 web 1 20km diruptor 2 tracting disrupts. Lows:1 t2 armor rep 1 damage control 1 adaptive nano 1 reactor control.
Drone bay:5 mediums 5 scouts.
Why dont i use ecms?Like i said im support,i kill their cap kill the small ships and pwn their tracking if their turret ships,if i were going to solo id drop it for an afterburner or ecm.

I just wanted to give you support man for staying with amarr with all this whinnings on forum. I personaly get bored with Caldari and will go to specialize in amarr now, and i must say they shouldn't be underestimated. If they have some balance issues I bet it will be corrected eventually . I like arby so far and prophecy BC.

No, dont fit what u cant afford to loose as usual ;) I just copy past the fit from our corp forum where i postd it previously, at this time we were in a corner of space dropping lots of -90%.

Play around with some variants and find your style ;)
This the one i like the best : - 1 med rep on auto for current use. - If needed turn on the 2nd and cap booster for godly tankage. this can be substained non stop for more than 2 min with my skills (maxed on cap stuff) and cargohlod full of 800.
was attacked by 2 inties and 2 AFs with this setup, i killed the 2 inties and forced the 2 AF to withdraw (they were out of my web/scramble range but I still hit them with aurora).
The good thing with a maller is everyone want to kill you so u dont need AB or MWD, let's your enemy come to you

at the moment i'm running around doing missions in my maller fitted with
High: 2 Heavy pulse I's 3 some other pulse i can't remember
Med: 2 tracking enhancers and a web
Low: Med armour rep 400mm armour plate 200 armour plate and 3 heat sink II's
all fits with grid to spare but naff all space on the cpu and can be easily changed to do other things you'll have about 3k armour hp and you're accurate enough and do enough damage at close range to not really need the armour rep till after the mission but the 5 lasers really do drain your cap so definatly get your cap skills up

Duramaller is one of the more solid cruisers... A duramaller with V skills everywhere relevant and faction tank can outtank a new HAC.

Fit ur maller with -2*1600mm RT ot cryst Carbide plates, a small t2 rep, dcu,2 energized adapt (t2 if u can and train the compensation skills as high as u can),<-- This gives godly resists and aprox 10k armor -in meds place 2 x5 webbers and a warp scram (7.5) or a disrupt (20 km) -high either t2 pulses or t2 beams (beams are better cose they offer a much wider range so u can't be kited by a cruiser that stays at 18 km) and fill the remaining slot with a small nos.
This will give u a godly tank a average dps, the thing is that most ppl see a maller and think "uuuu and easy kill" and come mwding to u where they hit a rolled tungsten wall :).

personally, i'm very spread out, and i only fly wut i liek, which just so happens to include my arbi. it is amazing 1vs1. i took a vexor and caracal without much dificulty, but have yet to test it on a rax.
3x med NOS 1x rocket launcher
1x cap recharger 1x ECM 1x webber 1x 20km scram
1x each Therm Kin and Exp active armor resists 1x MAR II
i think it does pretty good, its basically a "NOS, drone, rep, and pray setup". if any1 has improvement suggestions, i'm all for them.
