I would like to solo lvl4s in my phoon. Current setup below
4 named cruise, 2 named 1200mm arties and 2 named NOS 2 named webbers and 2 cap rechargers RCU, large named armour repper, named 1600mm plate, named adaptive nano plate, 1 active hardners for therm, kinetic and explosive.
5 heavy drones and 5 meds.
Webbers and drones are supposed to do the frigs
Is this any good? I seem to be having some trouble. I have 15 million SPs mostly in combat and combat related skills.
Thanks for any advice

i'd say drop the plate for a second repper, and insert a cap charger in the midslots instead of a recharger. not sure if 2 webbers are required, cus the drones will still hit frigs w/o a problem. try a painter instead and the medium drones kill frigs in seconds

Are you asking: is this a good setup or are you asking what ship would be best suited?

Anyone ever found armor compensation skills worth training? Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Cortes |

The webbers are to slow inties / frigs for the drones, not for the guns. Although they do work with AC's i wanted arties to help with the big targets.
Or I could drop the webbers if i use smart bombs i assume.

I have done level 3 (Brutix/Ishkur) and level 4 (Domi) in passively armr tanked ships, helped by the armr comp skills. Only just started level 4 but did Serp Ganza last night with no warp outs and no real nasty moments, so the skills are working for me.

I trained them to lvl 4 and they give me 4 percent POINTS more protection.

In my experience, smartbombs + drones is not so good. You have to be really careful not to blow the hell out of your drones.

Depending on the situation, they can be a very good combo. I rarely use smartbombs, but recall a few missions where there were lots of frigs, webbers and scramblers, who hug you pretty fast. Sent out the drones, let them attack remote targets and start the smartbombs. Since I rely on drones for fighting(flying a Domi) I don't need guns. Once I dropped the sentries and flew into the fray with 3 SB's. Not very effective, but much fun. Yes, I can tank a lot of damage.

Comments: - For Anti-Frig, use small drones. They're much better on them recently. - Webifiers don't help your Cruise Missiles much, but Target Painters would. Since you only got two guns (like me :), I'd got for Target Painters instead. They also help heavy drones against cruisers. - Try to get rid of the RCU, maybe by replacing the 1200mms with Dual 650mms. Replace it with a Damage Control. - Typhoons are fast. Use that advantage. That means: No 1600mm plate and try to find a med slot for the AB. If you're having trouble with CAP in spite of the double NOS, replace the 1600mm with a Cap Power Relay.
There's much hilarity in orbitting a 'phoon around the 5 Machariels from Pirate Invasion too quickly for them to track you down while raining CMs / Drones onto them.
I've recently seen a few fittings that properly separate Anti-Frig and Anti-BS by using Siege Launchers in high (and leaving Cruisers to the heavy drones), but CMs are sure more versatile and use less PG.
