Perhaps, but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to dislike it. |

I made 10 Krusual rifters and derped them in pvp. Am i more or less stupid than the people who never undock them?

I have to agree that the skins thing now is a bad idea, mainly for the rare ships the other skins I'm fine with.
I myself have a collection of what I now consider useless skins that used to be rare ships, all of my toons could take turns flying them out and about but now none will fly them any more as I will not wast a rare skin for use on only one character.
I'm hoping that CCP will at least make skins removable so I can trade them for use on another toon, otherwise those skins will forever rot in my hanger never to be used again which would be a sin as I did from time to time undock and use all of my rare ships. |

My ship hangar dropped from approximately 110 billion to around 65 billion with the change. I have no problem with that. I now have 40 billion or so worth of rare skins.
I never undocked in my rare ships and it's unlikely I'll ever apply any of the skins. I'll sell some I suppose. Just as I would have with the ships. And if I want to admire them I'll now click on the skin icon instead of the ship icon as previously.
For me as a collector of rarities it makes no difference whatsoever whether it's a rare ship in my hangar or a rare skin. I imagine I'm not alone in this. Pixels is pixels when all you do is look at them in a preview window.

What I miss is the ability for most of my toons to fly those ships as a whole, I collect for fun and have never had the intention to sell any part of my collection, I guess I could say that the new skins thing took the fun out of having them for me, true I can look at them in a preview but I can no longer use them like I have in the past.
What it could be compared too (for us old bastards that remember muscle cars), is having a 69 Talladega but it's only a Talladega when I'm setting in it, now if my Son wanted to drive my Talladega he can't as when he's setting in it it's a rusty Torino with three missing hubcaps. |

Thinking a lot differently about skins now that they have been released and I have begun "injecting" them. Prior to their release I absolutely loved the idea of being able to purchase something and always have it but now there seems to be psychological aspect that I had not considered in that I cannot escape the feeling that I'm flying a paintjob and that just somehow... it doesn't feel as special as when I was flying the Ishukone watch between Amarr & Jita. Now instead of flying this awesome unique ship that everyone wants to kill i'm just flying a plain jain scorpion and nobody is going to look twice. I wonder if others feel like something special has been lost.
Yes I like the looks of my awesome new ship but did I just like the paintjob or the fact that it was indeed a unique ship? Of course we're talking about simple psychology here but I just can't seem to get over this hump. |

I feel the same, to me the skins are far less special than those ships were and if those ships don't make a come back as real ships I'll probably sell mine, I don't know if other collectors feel the same but to me a one use indestructible skin is pretty much worthless so has no place in my collection. |

It won't be that special as the victim didn't lose the ship like in the past, I don't know why CCP would add indestructible skins in KMs as they wasn't "killed". |

It's up to the third party sites that make these KBs whether to include the skins or not.
