I'm trying to get a fitting that allows me to run a both a MWD and 20km Scram without capping out. Im not sure if its just not my skills or if its impossible altogether. My best fitting so far is:
1x Named MWD (Catalyzed Cold Gas) - (4.05 cap/s fit) 1x Named 20km Scram (J5 Prototype) - (2.07 cap/s fit) 1x Named Small Cap Battery (+69 Energy) 2x CPR (20%)
Propulsion Jamming - lvl 2 High Speed Manuvering - lvl 2 Energy Management - lvl 4
With these i get 287 Cap with a recharge rate of 120s , which is 2.391 cap/s (thought im not sure how much more i get when I'm in optimal cap ammount)
So do i need better skills or better fitting or is it just not possible?

It's the 20km scram thats screwing it up, meant for cruisers they are.

I've got an idea--an idea so smart that my head would explode if I even began to know what I'm talking about.

That and you want Highspeed Manuvering up to atleast 4, and then PJ to atleast for, each will lower consumption which is very handy. More cap = long stay and less damage from turrets if they can hit

Recommended skills: Energy Managment 4 Energy System Operation 5 Propulsion Jamming 3 High Speed maneuvering 3
Pretty basic to have.
Fleeting Warp Scrambler (36 cpu, but it is the most cap friendly scrambler)
Some people passivetank their crows with a Medium Shield Extender.
Here`s a setup a friend told me ages ago:
3x Arbalest Standards 1x Gistii A-type 1MN MWD 1x 20k (can`t remember which one) 1x Medium F-S9/T2 Shield Extender 3x PDU II
It ran forever and had a nice shield amount with good regen.
Obviously switch out to mods u can afford, most other Crows run 2 CPR to be able to run the mwd and 20k i think.
This is my lazy attempt to make an uber-signature, please go away!

There is also a mwd cap usage implant you can use to help you.

To use the 20k on a crow you really need solid skills. They're definetly not "Cruiser-only" modules, but they are a challenge to run on frigates without cap modules and good skills. Even then, it's still going to be a squeeze at times when you're mwd'ing and disrupting at the same time. Try to manage your mwd bursts as well as any other cap modules you're using to make sure the disruptor doesn't cycle off.
Also, take that battery off, you really want a web to keep other, faster interceptors off you. Missile crows without webs die very quickly to interceptors with webs that outpace them. Not only that, but it makes the missile crow vulnerable to just about anything should it somehow get webbed since it cannot counterweb and get back into the range it's meant to fight at. This is particularly important if you still have a lot to train in Nav skills, and/or aren't using Tech II or better mwd's.
